VED is short, but replayable and very beautiful RPG/Visual Novel hybrid with an interesting and somewhat challenging combat system. There are several factions to support, two romance options, some little side-quests. The game is fully voices in several languages, and I highly recommend playing with sound, even if you're like me, and generaly prefer to turn it off. The only downside is that I felt the story to be somewhat confusing at times.

Played it long enough to know that for me, this game has long conversations that just says things just to say things, and most things they say make no since. It's a lot of fluff that you can't get into nor care, it's as if they put it in to prolong the game. If you choose what you would like to say, like standing up for yourself and being a man with a set, the game will take things away from you that you have already earned. I don't mind games like this don't get me wrong. But it has way to many useless things it has you do, and say, only to punish you at the end. I wanted to play the game, not read a book that throws word salad at you. The actually game play boils down to you moving right and left clicking the only icon that will be the only one to keep you alive if your not 5 years old or younger you will pick the right power to use to win. So even the battles can be considered nothing but another way of saying your just going through the motions until the next word salad chapter. It's just not for me, so if word salad, and simple game play is for you buy away.

The art is amazing.... but i am not sure who decided to put the tutorials firectly AFTER you finish the relevant types of events. why the hell would that not go at the start of the events... this applies to pretty much every tutorial... it only explains whats going on after you finish something the voice acting is kinda bad too. like... annunciation is there, but it just feels wooden, like reading lines, not acting. kinda pulls you out of the story, which is otherwise interesting, constantly. The strategy of the combats is a new and interesting thing so many right choices, but a few really wrong ones. I still recommend it, but with reservations

I think the game is quite solid. I like the voice over work even tho some characters dont take time to breathe in between lines lol. The story is quite interestin as well. I didn't think the game would be a mix of the main character's current life and a fantasy like world. The combat is a bit straightforward and can get a bit difficult in some spots. Some may chalk this game up to a visual novel of sorts but I don't. the art style is quite nice. I like the color palette. For the price tag ur gettin' a solid experience. It's a charming game and I'll certainly do a deep dive into what leads to what but there does seem to be a large disconnect at a lot of places. Like what led to the fire hand winning despite me CLEARLY throwing my lot into with Impulse? Also how Knox said "Your People" won despite the ONLY thing I did for the sorcerors was free them and not actively beat them up during their ritual. And also what's with all of these extreme leaps in narrative? I felt like my path was a "wrong" path with how little a lot of parts were explained on my way through. I get it can't be perfect and I think the game is great just the narrative doesn't fit well together the way I decided to play it which is a huge shame.

Everyone sounds weird and robotic, but the gameplay is neat and the story is interesting outside of the characters being a bit illogical.
"The blind guy got lost? New hire with no idea what he is doing is asking a question about what to do? I lost respect for that guy!" Dafuhk?

"When will you start thinking about others and not just yourself?" YOU GOT MAD AT ME IN THE SAME BREATH FOR HELPING THE NEIGHBOR IN A FIRE!?! HELLO!?!
I don't think English is the voice actor or creator's first language and they don't know it well as Cyrus pronounced imbecile in the weirdest way possible and the worldbuilding feels weirdly rushed and characters unnaturally talk super fast after each other and are all robotic as I said. I really like everything besides these things. It would be nice if the language and flow was better, but I think the combat is very innovative still and it's worth it to me, but it would be a lot more worth it if they fixed these issues, but I doubt they will. Maybe for a VED 2 or a different world but same system in the future. EDIT: The creators are from Lithuania so that checks out what I said before

I haven’t finished the game yet, but I can already say that this gaming experience is absolutely worth the price. Story: 9/10 Combat: 8/10 Graphics: 10/10 Music: 9/10 Honestly, I’m surprised at how unknown this game is considering its quality. Maybe it’s because it’s a debut project, but either way, I wish the developers the best of luck. What they’ve done with 2D graphics is just incredible. The game is polished to perfection, and every detail feels thoughtfully crafted. The turn-based combat offers a truly unique experience. You move during each attack, mimicking sword fighting, which adds an engaging layer to the gameplay. But the real cherry on top is the monsters you face. They are stunning—everything from the animation to their lore. And the necromancer mushroom? My favorite by far. I also have to highlight the importance of choice in this game. I honestly have no idea how much content is here. At the end of each chapter, you see a summary, and I feel like I’m barely uncovering half of it. For anyone looking for a unique gaming experience with a branching storyline and breathtaking visuals, I wholeheartedly recommend this game.
