I'm sure this game has nothing to do with my nightmares of arachnids and insects destroying the world.

This game is a core memory for me. I'm pretty sure the playtime shown is nowhere near how long I've actually played. I had some weird Wi-Fi when I played my lion's share back in 2020 so I don't think all of the time properly synced. I remember having fun destroying things and finding glitches or easter eggs. I was also pretty invested in the lore and I enjoyed how all the locations were connected in some way. I recently came back to 100% it and it was loads of fun. The gameplay was fun as ever and there's plenty to do. There's so much gear to collect, tasks to do, and modifiers to mess around with. I especially enjoyed the powered-up shoe. The modifiers that you can obtain bring new life into the game, and some even give you more stuff to do. The game doesn't take itself too seriously and that ends up making it a better experience for the player. Worth full price without a doubt.

I definently recommend this game to others because it is very good and it is funny when you get jumpscared by a spider.

I beat this a while back, but I'm considering doing another play through in the near future. It's relatively simple, but it's still plenty of fun for anyone who isn't severely arachnophobic. It's more than worth the thirteen bucks, and has plenty of replayability with all of the weapons in mind.

Would recommend, a simple fun game with over top ways of killing spiders.

SWEET LORD, there's a lot to do in this game! There's secrets. There's guns. There's bombs. There's a shoe that fires nukes. There's an actual story. There's diverse spider mechanics. There's a post-game easter-egg hunt and seasonal map variations. This game could've just been a goof and gotten away with it, but it isn't and it didn't. I loved every second. It's also funny to mention, but there's arachnophobia accessibility settings in the menu. Just in case you have arachnophobia and still bought the game, specifically and exclusively about spiders hiding in various places. Maybe you didn't see the banner in the Steam store, and ignored the giant spider as soon as you open the game? Who knows, I'm not your mum. Honestly the settings do nothing for spider fearing people, but it's a nice thought that the developer actually cared about his community enough to at least try. Bethesda could learn a lot from this guy... But they won't. Sigh. I guess I'm off to look for another game made by a (specifically) solo or small team.
