As someone who enjoys MMOs, I really like this game. It's not really an MMO, but it feels like one. I'd love to play an MMO like this, but it's plenty fun solo. Probably even better with friends! Please keep updating this game! It deserves some love and attention, and I can see it being repetitive after some time, but with more maps/places to explore and characters, I think this game can really shine.

Very few games capture the life and soul of a dungeon crawler. Wayfinder hits a sweet spot between a beautifully crafted, vibrant world and intricate dungeon crawling with targeted loot grinds and customisation in character, builds and cosmetics. It's a fantastic time solo, or with friends. The character classes give lots of variety while also being really unique and diverse. Add on top individual talent trees, class items and set bonuses, transmogs, and individual character perks and the depth really does shine. The game hit a rocky start with the MMO model and transitioned into a multiplayer dungeon crawler ARPG. The developers really deserve a lot of praise here - many would have abandoned the game, but they stuck with it and righted the ship. The result is a brilliant little gem of a game that provides countless hours of entertainment in a charming and well fleshed out world with systems to keep you coming back for more.

This game is amazing, it had a rough start, you've heard it before, but now it is an awesome game, at a very reasonable price. Everything's unlockable, there's enough content to keep you entertained for a decent amount of time, co-op is very fun. It is a contained and fun experience. It reminds me of Torchlight x WoW x Darksiders. I never write reviews for games, but this one is special, I hope the devs are able to fund the company and create more awesome stuff or expand the game a bit more.

This gives me the rpg feel where i can dive into a dungeon with my buds or solo that ive been looking for. they def fixed it from its first launch and is worth the price as well as a look into. the exploration, tinkering with gear to find what fits my play style, and making the dungeons challenging is the fun ive been looking around for. look up lets plays and reviews, give this a try.

Bland game with poor performance. A dead mmo that became a dead single player game. I can't imagine it's any more fun with friends, but it could be. There's just not a lot of substance here at all. It is pretty nice looking though.

the game feels like the most generic thing ever, even the evil stuff in the game is called just "the gloom", as if the rest wasn't generic enough. its pretty well done, but there is nothing keeping you attached to the game, there's no reason to come back to it, combat feels floaty, abilities don't have any satisfying "punch" to them, not to mention you unlock all of them immediately. This game is the worst kind of bad: just boring

If the price tag was any higher, I would probably not have recommended it. It's not awesome, but it's an ok game. It gets a bit repetitive after the campaign and I can totally see why it had failed as a MMO. There's a good amount of dungeons of bosses tho. It mainly gets repetitive when you need to grind weapon and character ascendancy. And imho it's not really worth it because the endgame is just "redo all the bosses of the campaign, but this time they have more HP and deal more damage".

Let me begin by saying, I bought this game yesterday and poured 10 hours straight into it without thinking about it, or realizing what time it was. I only put the game down because of how tired my body was, but I did not want to quit. Now, I didn't bother trying the game at launch. I saw the reviews from sources I trust on YouTube and I brushed it off. So I'm coming to Wayfinder with no bias and no past buyer's remorse. This game, in it's current condition, based SOLELY on the first 10 hours I've played, is extremely well polished. Graphics, combat, gameplay, optimization, and the soundtrack, alllllll wonderful. Soundtrack is especially important in open world games, and this one nails it. I can't give an opinion on end-game, yet, as of this review, but I REALLY love the direction the game has taken me to so far. It's an MMO, with no subscription, and optional offline play. The art style is quite WOW/Darksiders 2 style, which i love. The loot is satisfying and ALL COSMETICS are (at least now) an intricate part of the reward system, which is great! This game actually proves the point I always make, cosmetics DO impact gameplay. Trying to EARN the coolest looking stuff, just because it's cool looking, has always been a satisfying way to reward the player for their time. We WANT to look cool because we're good at the game, not cuz we gave away more cash. Anyway, as of right now, I can't find much of a reason not to recommend Wayfinder. But I'll update this review as I go. UPDATE: 26 hours in, and there is still sooooo much content I haven't reached. Good sign. True MMO formula, done in a fun way.

Game is fun, even solo. It comes close to playing a dead MMO. The visuals are really good, I like the style of the game. The world design is awesome with all the little secrets. It is a enoyable little experience for the price it is more than fine. What kills the fun at the end for me is the loot drop for the cool looking things, like armor and mounts. Probably the remnants of the MMO design, because you need to defeat bosses multiple times to get a chance for the drop. Drop chance should be higher, it is not an MMO anymore so nobody really cares if the good looking stuff is more easy to get. I don't have hopes, that the game gets alot of updates, new zones or characters. But I hope they make another game like this but more specilized in singleplayer.

While definitely better than it was at launch, it still feels far too shallow and repetitive. The combat is fun at first, but you'll be fighting the same enemies in the same environments with unfun modifiers over, and over, and over again. Treasure in the same spots; same lame objectives (if i have to move that drill one more f'n time, I swear to god...). The world also feels very much designed for an mmo/live service game with timed spawns, zone objectives and world events that are just on constant repeat. The itemisation is also very odd. Most of your stats come from obscure armour attachments that have no physical models and seem to all be completely obscure artefacts, which makes sifting through them feel tedious. There's definintely some fun to be had with this game, especially with friends, but it's ultimately a very shallow and repetitive grind to get through.
