I would highly recommend this game. The art, the gameplay, the level design, the music, the lore all blend together for an immersive experience. I'm only a little ways in and I'm hooked. Each level brings challenges that allow for unique and satisfying use of the time-stop mechanic.

Great Game! Unique and fun story line with easy to play basics. The Game is easy to understand and play through but challenging to master. This game is a must play at this price. the 8 bit gives you a throw back feel and the vibes on this game are honestly just great. I sat down to play the 1st level and played for 2 hours straight! AMAZING!

This game is a wonderfully crafted fantasy game. The combat and challenges become more difficult as you progress and you get items that completely change the way the game is played. The bosses are challenging and you feel rewarded after finally beating them. The time stop mechanic is one of the coolest time-based abilities I've seen that does't make your character brokenly powerful. 10/10 you will die, and enjoy doing it.

This was an interesting game for sure. At the time of this writing I've finished the first set of levels through the first portal and I think the game is good. The art feels clean, and everything is easy to identify. Once you grasp the concept of weapon throwing and time stopping it's a matter of mastering those skills in tandem as the levels become progressively challenging. As you progress through the levels you will find new armor and weapons which also change the gameplay significantly, so you can pick which best fit your style. The first few levels I felt like I had it under control and then the game ramped up in difficulty in a very fun and challenging way which made me want to keep playing. The game has a standard mode as well as an assist mode and a hard mode available after your first run through. Each level of the game also has mini completion goals to aim for, such as time trials, no damage runs, no healing runs, or finding all collectibles. If you're interested in twin stick style game play I would say The Ambassador: Fractured Timelines is worth a play.

The Ambassador: Fractured Timelines is a challenging twin-stick shooter that you can complete within 3-4 hours. It has two difficulty options, standard and assisted. In the lateral you don't have to start the whole level again if you die, though to be clear vast majority of levels are beatable under five (5) minutes (of course that doesn't mean they are easy, quite the opposite). Only downside of this difficulty selection is that you can't change it within your save-file to another (or at least from standard to assisted) even at final boss if that feels too difficulty for you and thus I never had motivation to start a new save file from scratch just so I could go a little bit easier on final boss.
Verdict:
If you are into challenging twin-stick shooters The Ambassador: Fractured Timelines is a fine pick on sale. Just keep in mind that you can't change the difficulty level on your current save file even from harder to easier.

This game was fun enough. Very simple and satisfying. Combat was not that challenging most of the time, but sometimes it randomly was. Just find a few setups that work well for most situations. Final boss difficulty curve came out of nowhere, but after prepping up my food and taking a few cracks at him, it wasn't too hard. The fighting reminds me of Wizards and Warriors a bit, the way the weapons fly out and come back. Graphics are nice. I really wish this game had some type of roll mechanic. I know it's not needed, but I felt as though I wanted to do it all of the time lol. Didn't quite get the story, and the books didn't make much sense. It felt like an after thought, but that's okay. I appreciate the dev making an attempt. Game is a bit pricey at full price for what I got out of it, but perhaps if you are the type who will work on all of the achievements, it would provide more value. I didn't feel like going back and finding all of the books or anything, so I just moved on. But on a decent sale, I'd pick it up with little thought because it's enough fun.

I'll state that I haven't finished the game yet, but I intend to. Users beware. The game if fun and sort of has the same feel as N+. There are curated levels that have one solution per area. Note that it will be necessary to go back and forth between the portals to acquire more items that make the areas in other portals feasible. I think I like it, but there are many games that do what it does better. That isn't to say there's nothing to like here, just that the experience can be gotten from other games that will provide you a more positive experience overall.

This is just such a simplistic game, I don't see why it's rated so highly.. and it costs $15 to top it off?! The combat is boring and repetitive. The gameplay doesn't seem to go anywhere special. For a game from 2020 this is unacceptable for me. The loop is literally "Here are some enemies, go chase them all and click with your mouse on them". "You finished it. Here is the next level.". "Do this a few more times until you get to the boss". "Click on the boss when the red sword comes up". "Rinse and repeat". Yea, no thanks.

To anyone wanting to play this game but worried about the difficulty being too high: The "assisted mode" is a great way to play though all the content without being frustrated by particularly difficult levels. If you're not great at pure action game but still want to experience The Ambassador because you think the art style or time ability is awesome, don't worry there's a mode for you! This is how I've chosen to play the game. To anyone wanting to play this game but worried about the difficulty being too low: There's a hard mode available after finishing the game on standard and each map has a challenge time to beat that is going to take some serious skill to beat. I don't think there's a lot to worry about if you want a challenge.
