This game was honestly fascinating. I bought it on a whim, noticing it was on sale on my wishlist. I don't remember when I put it there. The game is esoteric and atmospheric, I weirdly enjoyed puzzling out how the world was connected and what I needed to do. It's honestly less a game and more an art piece, the type that is less coherent when you experience it, but your mind keeps going back to it. The world feels dead and decaying. There's some really profound imagery that have been stuck in my head ever since I finished the game. I-I'm at a loss of words I suppose. It was especially profound to me as a trans person (it definitely has a lot of themeing around gender and identity), though I'd say that it's thought provoking even if you don't fit that demographic. It was interesting, it's worth your time I'd say. Go in expecting to be weirded out and confused; alone with your thoughts in a desolate world.

This is one of my favorite games ever. Short, and tremendously atmospheric, and saturated with a queerness you can't quite your finger on.

I don't have a lot to say about Pagan: Autogeny other than this is perhaps the most bizarre and abstract game I've played in a long time. Shame I'm a complete dummy and won't figure out what's really going on in this story on my own, but that's okay because I came for the vibes and they are indeed impeccable. Dark, lonely, melancholy and sometimes downright disturbing atmosphere made this game an easy recommend for me, good stuff!
