FSM always provides high-quality tilesets. There is nothing to complain about them, just too happy with the purchase.

For anyone wondering, in the DLC folder it's just called Castle and Town, not FSM: Castle and Town like the others.

I was really excited about this tileset, specifically for the castle portion of it. The examples of it looked pretty good, that is until I tried to make one of my own. After too much messing with this I soon realized that actually trying to make a functional map was much more difficult than making a pretty one. For example, if you wanted to make towers and bridges between those towers, that's very doable, so long as you don't actually want players to walk on those bridges. If that's what you're thinking, good luck trying to line up any form of a functional bridge with a tower you can connect it to. A lot of the tiles are 24px offset, unfortunately on the same sets as many that aren't. So when you are making a tower for example, it's very difficult to make a simple tower that you can line up with a player. For a more specific example. Say you want a simple 3x tile wide tower, nothing too big. You would think that you can build this and make it walkable, but you can't, only if it's a 1/2 view front tower only. More like the partial cutouts you see on the front of the samples. Those will line up with a player/door, but the 3x ones that can become a whole tower will not because they are offset by 24px with the middle tile where the door would be cut in half between two tiles. This tileset should not have been set up with such a mix of offset tiles. It actually makes it nearly impossible to design something that is both cosmetically attractive and functional. I really was looking forward to using this tileset and eventually, I'm sure I'll take the time to edit it so it can be more functional, removing a lot of the offsets. I think the castle towns are good and those don't seem to have the problem. If you're more interested in the towns, I think this is a nice tileset and it really does have a lot to it. If you want it for the castle as I did, just be prepared to edit the tileset if you want it to be functional and not mostly just aesthetic. I purchased this in an attempt to make a functional castle map, something along the lines of Figaro from Final Fantasy 6. A castle you can move around with upper and lower parts. As it stands, there's no way to use the castle tilesets this way without editing them.

Nice quality as always. This is definitely a "must have piece" if you are in great need of useful tileset material. I think i can say this loudly: a Refmap work means quality. You earned our trust with your hard work.

This is right out the best tileset for RPG maker MV I've ever seen. The details are gorgeous. The other two reviewers before me already said that, though. Here's some things that I've been looking for that it has or that make this a particularly valuable resource: Carpentry workbench Sewing table Loom Spinning wheel Bolts of cloth, stacks of wood, sewing manikins and so forth to go with the above. All kinds of weapons hanging on walls. A crane (like for lifting freight and so forth) Meat- sausage, chicken and chops both raw and cooked (lots of other food too, but those stood out because I was looking for some) A student desk- complete with quill pen and paper, or even a setup for an alchemy student. Walls made of bookshelves Very nice stone tables (white and black). Canons and canon balls Catacomb walls with coffins in niches (and without the coffins, too). And more autotiles, furniture, and STUFF than you can imagine. Too much to list.

The last two DLC packs from First Seed Materials were pretty great, but this one takes it to another level. This pack includes a Castle and a Town tileset, with both interior, exterior, AND day and night time sheets for both, coming in at roughly 8 separate sheets (yes, it's a pain to import, but it's worth it once you do). On top of that, the characters sheets included are absolutely amazing. There are characters for SECRET doors that blend in as part of a wall or a bookshelf until the player discovers them, which is something I've always wanted to add to my games. And as if that wasn't enough, there's the "sample project" which includes loads of great inspirations for map designs, quests, NPCs, and more. Haven't been this excited or impressed by any RPG Maker MV DLC in a while. You won't regret adding this one to your collection.
