Generic, no difference in enemies, apart from health, crashes alot, achivements does not trigger
this was a minimal effort crash grab, not even worth it at 39 cents

In appearance, everything is taken from Kingdom Rush.
And it is full of problems many bugs.
If they had tried more it would be interesting.
A casual wave defending game, with some issues
I'm really on the verge with this game, but because of several problems, I am leaning towards negative recommendation.
In Deep Ocean Rush, some monstrous sea creatures are attacking the hovel of Tom & Jerry (yup), two crafty little guys. No matter, they have built a cannon, with which to shoot the monsters. Don't let them past you!
Casual but kinda cool
Shooting's pretty fun but it's initially slow and also inaccurate: the shots do not hit the spot you click, instead falling a bit short. Targeting is thus incredibly cumbersome.
Fortunately, you can buy an assortment of upgrades. Beside shooting speed, damage and area-of-effect (which makes targeting slightly easier), there's a homing missile tower, a tesla coil, and a bunch of randomly operating special buffs, like stuns, multi-shots etc. It's pretty cool, and in some levels you can do fine with just the towers. It gets repetitive soon though.
New enemies are introduced every few levels. First ones are faster, but then they just get tankier - they don't even inflict more damage if they get past you.
It appears there are also "free" upgrades for winning levels, but I'm not sure if those worked - only bought upgrades grant a noticeable effect.
Technical problems
I encountered two specific issues, beside the cumbersome targeting.
* Crashes due to a memory leak *
Every ten levels or so the game crashes, popping a memory error window. This is mostly annoying, because the auto-save function works fine. I never lost progression, just a bit time re-launching the game.
* Broken achievements *
First achievement for killing a mob pops immediately when you start a level, before killing any enemies. The rest of the achievements, unfortunately, do not award properly. The low global rates were a clue, but well, I wanted to be sure.
Altogether, not recommended
I played it for about 2 hours, reaching about 50th level. However, by this point the game was incredibly repetitive - why, occasionally I even had to act to not lose! According to the achievement list there are at least 100 levels, but since the achievements did not function properly, I quit after another crash.
Gameplay is okay, at least at first, after getting used to aiming. The price is okay, especially on sale. However, with all the issues, I'd recommend skipping this anyway. If the issues were fixed, I'd probably swing towards a positive recommendation instead.
