Explosive Jake Reviews

It's an extremely repetitive Bomberman clone that starts out extraordinarily slow and depressing and gets acceptable about halfway through. You basically drop bombs to kill enemies and break boxes to reveal powerups, keys and doors. There is just one key and door on each stage but because you don't know where it is you have to pretty much blow up every box on the map until you find it. This is extremely tedious and only gets less annoying later because you pick up bomb upgrades that make it easier to just clear the map faster to grab the keys. While it's structured like Bomberman there are no bosses and the powerups are pretty useless aside from the one that increases speed. I didn't mind playing through it but it's absolutely nothing special.
