good game enjoyed it, bit scuffed mechanics for some things, would appreciate a check list for players who want to 100% as sometimes hard to keep track or miss certain events & hidden missions. overall worth the money though i would say

After 10 hours of playing the game I must say I am definitely enjoying myself. I can see this being a 40 hour game for me at least. I found this game after watching 2 YouTube videos from PartiallyRoyal, so glad he took the time to expand the audience for this. I can't help but wonder how such a good game could have less than 1k people after a year. About the only criticism I have so far is the mining and woodcutting is a bit clunky.

Thank freaking god it's an open world with actual content in it, not some empty procedurals. I love wandering around, finding new quests and tackling challenges. The village building is also a decent addition that throws some sort of colony management to the mix. But I really wish I could do more with the construction, it feels a bit limited. The combat system could use an overhaul too, it feels a bit rough compared to the rest of the game. Overall though this is a solid game with a lot of promise!

I like how in addition to an open world RPG this game gives you a base-building feature. Those are really fun. The voice acting kinda breaks the mood sometimes sounds like some characters were generated.

TL;DR, Are you having fun with the medieval-survival'ish-Robin Hood theme? Buy it. It kept me entertained for 45 hours. If you're less into the theme, wait for a discount. If at all It's okay. It's solid. If you like the setting (Robin Hood - medieval - open world with slight survival elements) you can certainly have fun. The main story is solid, but no real surprise. I mean, you're playing Robin Hood, come on. The sidequests are questionable, to put it politely. Sure, it's about helping the population, but some of them are just stupidly written. Speaking of writing. The German translation is atrocious... I mean, completely irrelevant to non-Germans, sure, but if you're clearly using A.I. for voice acting (which I'm not against), why can't you use A.I. for halfway meaningful translations? Some just don't make any sense at all and someone who really doesn't speak English or only very poorly will sometimes be confused. But for the fact that it's apparently the developer's first game and that you're NORMALLY only used to see strange simulators from the publisher PlayWay, it's a good game. I also like the graphic style they used for some of the cutscenes, although I can't understand the excessive shaking... It's like being on a fishing trawler on the North Sea in a storm. I would also like to add that the game ran mostly lag-free and without problems for me. Once in 45 hours it crashed and once... The main menu behaved VERY strangely https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3418227276 Only in the Midlands area were there strange FPS drops below 60.

4/10 combat is a mess talking to NPCs is a bit odd hunting feels bad lock picking is int in the game dont believe it you will never unlock a lock i would rate it better if it was in early access but its a full big boy game ill come back to it after a bit and try again but for now its just too unpolished and unrefined for a modern game. its got promise but it falls short.

This game has the potential to be a lot of fun. I say "potential" for one glaring reason. This game makes a hard drive towards resource gathering which can feel tedious. The tediousness only to be made infuriating by the fact that the hit boxes on many of the mineable resource nodes is messed up. You can spend 15 minutes in a resource rich area and come away with nothing because you wasted all your time just attempting to find the sweet spot where the hit box is located to allow you to mine the resource.

it's not crashing, it's not buggy, it's got what it advertises too many games won't even give you that and I want to encourage the devs

I’m really enjoying the variety of quests and the little puzzles scattered around the world. It’s pretty raw exploration considering how fast travel works too, not everything feels explained and tied in to the rest, some players It keeps things fresh and rewarding, and I always feel like there’s something to do. The crafting and resource management are well-implemented, too. My only real complaint is the combat. It feels stiff and not as fluid as I’d like. Plus, the voice acting can break immersion at times. With some updates, this game could easily go from good to great!

This game tries really hard to be an open-world RPG like a lot of other games today. It's an okay, generally positive experience - don't get me wrong - but it's mostly just okay. There are a lot of different features, like events where you have to stop an execution or you rob a tax collector like in the Robin Hood stories, the visuals are nice, you get to build up a village base, there's crafting, resource collection, lots of quests. But that's just it - all of it is okay at most. I think the game could use a little more work. If you improved each feature in some way to up the quality, then it could become a really awesome title.
