Im sorry but im gonna have to put a thumbs down on this. I feel like this would be a fun little janky 9 dollar experience if it werent for the fact that rolling is beyond awful when youre locked on. Fix that and this could actually be a little interesting to play. Gonna refund for now. please notify me somehow if they fix rolling, or ill be rolling in my grave

This shit is the BOMB. An innovative and delightfully fresh take on a tried and true formula. If you're the sort of person who feels like the "Souls-like" genre has been getting stale, this game will feel like a breath of fresh air for you. Featuring a colorful cast of enemies and bosses who do various forms of interpretive dance, the sheer sight of witnessing these moves will cause you to take a cornocopious amount of damage from across the room. Long gone are the cheesy starts present in many of the Souls games. To prevent the player from being able to simply reaction dodge to everything and incur no damage, many of the bosses have 0 frame startup damage attacks that deal damage before they even move their limbs, using some manner of psycho kinetic powers. The game has a built in hard-mode. At the beginning of character creation, you are prompted to pick one of two abilities - double damage, or a shield that makes you glitter like a twilight vampire. Also, you can jump. That alone makes this game feel much more fluid and intuitive than the rigid, clunky, or as a Souls Enthusiast would say "deliberate" combat of the Souls series. With the physics in the game allowing to climb sheer cliffs like one of those fucked up mountain goats from the Phillipines. Overall I would liken this game to the critically acclaimed Netflix original movie "Death Note".
