The visuals are cool, but the flight controls and pacing leave a lot to be desired. I was honestly pretty bored with it.

Beautiful space sim, well thought out. Some cracking quests and missions...but too flippin' difficult! I cannot drift! I've tried keyboard, Xbox controller, even the HOTAS...I've uninstalled because its twitchy and too difficult for me. I even tried to improve my chances of working with it by using 'Wemod' (Which I only use on solo play games).

The core of the game is interesting, but the fight against the final boss is one of the worst designs I’ve ever played (not to mention the one in the middle of the game…). It’s an insult to the player, not to say a complete mockery. The final boss is INCREDIBLY hard compared to the rest of the game, to the point where I gave up. This encounter is artificially challenging, even to the extent of breaking the game’s promises (a fight in a narrow corridor, whereas the vast majority of the game takes place in open space! We barely deal any damage to the boss, while just before, we annihilated an entire enemy fleet with ease!). The worst message a game can send to its player is: “You won’t finish this game.” I would have gladly given it a solid 60%, but the final experience is so bitter that even if I managed to beat this boss, it would never erase the feeling I have now. A game is meant to be completed, and ramping up the difficulty SO SHARPLY at the VERY END makes no sense. An easy ending wouldn’t have taken anything away from the game’s charm. Here, it’s worse than an easy ending: it’s an inaccessible one. This game managed to disgust me right at the very end.

I remember seeing the trailer for this game at the IGN event and thinking it was going to be a storybased game like those of the Life is Strange series or a Telltale game since that's what the trailer made it out to be. It's really not like that at all since you never leave your ship. It's more of an upgraded version of galaga, and it's everything Star Wars: Squadrons wanted to be.

A very fun game with way more of a story than I expected. Combat is tight and addicting! This game looks and feels like how I imagined those 80s arcade games felt at the time. The visuals are totally impressive and I had zero bugs or glitches.

Really a great game. Pure arcade gameplay, a bit hard at start but gets very smoother very fast. You can make fights too easy if you want, but you don't have to since the game is not too long you won't get bored. Graphics wise it's nice for a AA game but Artistically it's really really beautiful, it's the first time I take that much sreenshots (thanks photo mod :p ) Story is fine, the 2 main characters are well written.

If you can move past the majority young woman power with juvenile dialog, repetitive generic missions, crap UE engine, annoying whispers and meaningless story with no verticality, you will enjoy a great focused space flight arcade game with good mechanics behind the core of the game design that has potential.

Man, this game started out so much fun... Then somebody decided to include high-speed chases through narrow tunnels where you have to execute EVERY turn PERFECTLY, or you die. Big enemies with gimmicks that have you use all the tricks you learned, fine. But stop putting them in tiny chambers, fighter craft need ROOM to maneuver. And I'd also like to SEE where I'm going, thank you very much. Cutscenes were fine graphic-wise, but so often the main character just sits in her fighter and watches stuff going down. Stop watching and whining and DO SOMETHING. So no, don't recommend. Played eleven hours (including breaks where I left the computer to eat something, and I'm almost through. Not worth the €25 I paid. Would love to return this poorly designed game. So much potential, so much waste.

I'd give it a 4/5. Gameplay is great. The controls of the space craft are fun to learn and exciting to master. The story could be good if told differently, but it can feel a little cringey at times. It tries to be intense but comes off as cheesy. Still a fun game that's worth the play through. Especially if you miss the good ol' Starfox days.
