This is Yu-Gi-Oh without having to wait 10 minutes for your opponent to finish their turn and then negate anything you try to do. Also you can easily unlock all the cards for absolutely free by just playing the game.

Konami has this shit definition for fun: duplicate cards in packs. Like WTF is wrong with the brains of the devs and people who designed this game? Do they think it is fun when people pull useless duplicates from a super deep card pool? Do they think it is fun for people to play with unoptimized decks for an extended period of time until they grind out a collection? Even though this is a fucken paid game?
There needs to be a cheat where people can just unlock all the cards at once. I don't mind earning my cards, I just hate duplicates. It is a mindless design tactic used to extend the play time of the game. You are forced to grind again and again in hopes of unlocking the cards you need.
And guess what? The previous title had the same problem, but noooo, the leaders working at Konami is too fucked in the brains to fix this shitty mechanic to make the game more enjoyable for the players.
But it is Yugioh though, and it has some dope animations. I have to give it a thumbs up just because of this. But I'd give an overall rating of 5 out of 10 for this game.

The VRAINS campaing is pure ****. Like they didnt even bother to add any text at all, you can just replay the duels from the show. And thats were the game really gets awful: you cant win with the Story decks. I am a casual player who only watched the shows and play a little bit of Master duel and I have 0 chance of winning anything. First of all: this game is pure luck, you can get 4 spells and the most useless monster in the whole deck when starting while the enemy gets (which I find very sus) the exact same 7 cards every round. I tried one battle for 8 times and for some reason the bot got the same spell 8 times over. In a 33 card deck with 3 cards of this you would have a chance of 10% to get this, which is for 8 times in a row has a probability of something around 0.0000001%. So for myself I have absolutely zero fun with this, because in all 20 campaign battles I did (except for the tutorials) I only got 2 battles were I had enough luck to first try it and dont get messed up by this system. I cant recommend this game anyone who just wants to play chill rounds of Yu-Gi-Oh! because this game is hard as sh*t and while I enjoy playing Dark Souls were you get better over time, I dont even wanna play this game anymore in my life, because it is pure luck.

The only thing i cant stand about this game is the damn Animations you can not skip these or turn them off you have to sit there watching them every time in the new arcs you can spam summons with animations and it just sucks to watch it ever time

This game needs massive updates, half its archetypes are missing at least one or more massively important playmakers for the deck, and it can make it hard to build proper decks for the archetype at times. But other than that? Love the game, very fun. Wish you could skip over the ace monster animations though.

It's old school yugioh with controls but has new mechanics that are current in the game. I just wish they updated it more

Scratches the yugioh itch. 10 year old me would've been stoked to have this many deckbuilding possibilities. The prompts can be a bit annoying to have to click through but I guess that's unavoidable (didn't realise there were so many phases in one turn until playing this lol)

It brings back memories, I Loved playing this until I got sick so its very addictive, The collection is awesome, players are near to none for PvP. I don't know if I could find them in any certain community. So, I have yet to explore that area, half way down the progress for first series, you could make several decent decks depending on which packs you choose to open first, my advise is to stick to same packs so that you can unlock most relevant cards.

Some of the decks in the story scenarios seem like they were thought by a toddler with a crayon but aside from that the game is pretty fun. Takes awhile to acquire all the cards but it's fun to mess around and learn deck building.

If you ever played any duel simulator on the GBA or NDS, and felt it was lacking something crucial. I can not recommend this game enough to you. Is exactly what I wanted. A very convenient way to play a still outdated but far more accurate simulation of the Yu-Gi-Oh card game. The grind might be off putting, since unless you cheat I don't see a very easy way to get all the cards in the game without some pure RNG. Yet compared to the far worse to play games of the past, I don't mind it since I still want to play this more and finish it to the end. The starting cards you get let you make some decent decks, and I could see myself starting over from the start for the fun of it. The main reason to get this game, is if you don't feel confident or the appeal of the modern Yu-Gi-Oh meta and want a far cheaper and single player friendly version of those aforementioned games.
