Great dual stick shooter with enough configurations to keep it interesting. Resource gathering is decent and doesn't weigh down the game. Can do runs in about 5-15 minutes which helps for short play times.

I wanted to like this. Me and a friend waited for a year+ for this game's release. Constantly looking at updates for the game ever since we saw the "Breath & Bone" reveal trailer. We were hyped. We both loved the aesthetics and music. It looked like it had character and something new to show. Plus us being Final Fantasy fans we loved the idea of Gun totin' Black Mages. We were a little confused with the fact that this would be a sandbox/survival game (a more action focused version of Don't Starve) Later we try the demo, and don't see too much there, it was more of a peak on how the game would play with just the tutorial and starting world. Goes to show that the game was practically finished and was extremely similar to the full release. Gameplay Spoiler territory: The whole game revolves around building up your own base in a separate space. You make excursions out to a randomly generated place in a biome of your choice. Here is where you gather resources and fight enemies for more resources and loot. It is also where you can continue character stories. Then comes the issue, YOU ARE TIMED. You have a limited time in this version of the world until reality starts breaking apart. Once time runs out you need to return to base (through your starting portal or by one spawned randomly) while enemies rapidly spawn and the world breaks apart. Any progress in that world, anything you build, and any loot left over (including your loot that you dropped from death) will disappear with the world. Repeat ad nauseam until you beat a boss that is linked to that biome. The boss is in its own area without a timer. The next biome is opened and you repeat the cycle again. My Gripes: -world timer is too much of a overbearing threat to be fun, it needs to be removed. it is one of the prime issues why the game feels grindy and repetitive -Game is quite clunky and slow for both you and the enemies. Fighting is sluggish especially in the beginning. -Game is either not transparent enough about some mechanics, or too much in you face to be fun to figure out. Many times i was lost on what to do with too many moving parts. -Last and BIGGEST issue is that better gear is too bothersome to get. there is no melee combat so the only permanent upgrades are your guns (not the bullets) and base upgrades and buildings. Everything else is limited. you have grind for every bullet you use. Even the basic bullets used for resource gathering have to be crafted which are generally cheap to make, but later resources need stronger bullets, which in turn need to be gathered and crafted. AND THAT IS JUST THE MINING BULLETS, NOT EVEN THE ELEMENTAL BULLETS THAT GIVE YOU ANY CHANCE OF MODERATE TO GOOD DAMAGE!!! Everything you use is limited, and requires a time sink to get or even recover from if something goes wrong. Each bullet type should be tied to the gun you wield with infinite bullets if that type and strength or a talent tree of some sort. In all honesty if you want a time sink, or something to pass the time its ok. It should of been a more strict roguelike if some sort where you weave magic attacks the weird bullet types the make cool attacks and builds like (it is easy to forget you are a WIZARD in this game). It would still work with the over all idea of time breaking and your death would send you back in time before the run. If it was more like Wizard of Legend (the first one) with its own identity and gun+spell gameplay it would of been a classic. Ty for reading and R.I.P Galvanic Games

Had a lot of fun with the run. Art and music are fire. The Ending was disappointing and i dont feel like playing it again, but i would love to play if there was more content. The amount of crafting and complexity of elements/spells is just fine in my opinion. Not too much but enough to do many diffrent strategies. Fights with stonger enemys and boss fights were amazing. I got it on sale and would do it again.

Takes some practice to get good, but a fun game, with a really pleasant soundtrack. Well worth it!

its like a rogue like but instead of trying to survive and reseting on death, you mostly want to make it back out alive with whatever resources you gather inside the realm.

A good game with one major stinging flaw, so much so that had I known this flaw, I wouldn't have bought it. TLDR; if your bullet isn't the appropriate level for the enemy tier, you are either forced to do significantly less damage or zero damage So many games are out there where you can use lower level gear to kill the enemies, sure it might be harder, but with proper skill its possible. This game slaps you away and tells you level up dork go smell the roses and come back when we tell you you're allowed to. So infuriating when this game isn't hard at all, it pads it out by forcing you down the path it wants you on essentially.

Not a bad game, just... boring. No specific builds, no farming, with some picked up gears and kiting, I killed the final boss without dying even once? The only thing left is to unlock the rest of the bullets. The thought didn’t spark anything in me, just like the playthrough.

Super fun game, engaging gameplay, feels fluid changing between bullets and weapons, nice progression, easy to learn. Nice graphics and cartoony style. Enjoying it. People complaining about some things being simple are just looking for something different in the wrong game for them - aka bitter fools.

While I love the art and concept. It just feels a little clunky and playing it kind of feels like a chore. The story is really kinda thrown at you and I had a bit of trouble understanding whats going on.
