Let us put this in analogy perspective: think of Circle Poison (the makers of this game) to be Metallica. They released Slave Sword 1 which would metaphorically be the "Ride the Lightning album", then Slave Sword 2 to be the "Master of Puppets album". Then there's Divine Miko Koyori, which is all "cute protagonist" but...this would be the "St. Anger album". Divine Miko Koyori is everything you expect from an H-game, BUT not coming from Circle Poison. I surmised devs have rushed it, or a different dev-team must have done this game, which is sad considering how cute Koyori is and how you just wanna break her like Luna. There are people trying to make points like: -appreciate the developers -appreciate the gameplay and something very silly like "appreciate the BGM"--- if y'all wanna do that, there's this game called "Final Fantasy" for that. Or Resident Evil. Or Grand Theft Auto. My point is, Divine Miko Koyori IS AN H-GAME. There are thousands of RPG games out there that have no R18 things in them, and we are on the niche part of games that lets us spread these Freudian wings, let go of our superego, do our worst. This is what this game is for. If you want a game that you don't want an H-scene out, again, there's Final Fantasy. I don't get why people would even dare play this game on "pure ending" (or virgin ending), that's like, finding the hottest girl from your class/office lying on your bed with just a blanket on, and then you turned around and sleep on the sofa. So, would I recommend this game to anyone? Absolutely! But demolish this, throw your moral compass into the bin-- and if Circle Poison didn't give you the sky to let your Freudian wings fly, then demand them (DON'T APPRECIATE MEDIOCRITY) to do what they need to. This is as simple of an analogy as, if iPhone released the iPhone 11, and then on their next release they just release the iPhone 5. Would you praise Apple for that? There's a reason why I praise: -Slave Sword 1 and 2 -Oneone1 games (Ideology of Friction, Killing Time, Dark Elf) -Shera and the Three Treasures (I initially did think this was boring, but after spending 10hours in Red Light District, this is good enough) -----because these games subverted the expectations of what H means for H-games. Divine Miko Koyori delivered expectations, no doubt, but it is average. It is something you expect, but knowing Circle Poison, you know you want to expect more. It's the same way as expecting more of Apple (or Samsung) for their next release of iPhone: not just a phone that can do call and text and internet, but more: video-call, video stream, fast response, durable, can handle more apps, and you don't settle for anything less. PS: for Circle Poison, we need [Divine Miko Koyori 2] in the works.

Art is great. Story, Gameplay, and Music are okay. Though, there are lots of contents being cut in the game with the latest patch. There's also no "Unlock All Scenes" after you finished the game so goodluck with finishing the game several times.

one thing I will give props for circle poison is that they definitely make characters that are very visually appealing and personally Koyori's design is probably the most appealing to me . what I don't really like though is that their titles don't actually have much when it comes to variety and the story I will be very honest is very bland.

I'd say this game is...fine. Nothing earth-shattering and most of the "scenes" are nothing too special, but I'd say overall it's worth at least one full playthrough (around 3 hours for any ending and maybe 5 if you want all scenes). I do like the skill system, but other than that, everything is basic RPG Maker gameplay with pretty big (mostly empty) maps. I did mess up a little with the endings since I didn't know how to unlock them, so look up a guide beforehand if you want my advice, it's not like the story matters much anyways. Also, the character has absolutely no development and your choices don't matter at all, so...yeah. Wasted potential.

if the developer didn't rush this game, this game will be so much better; If they add couple more female characters in it but they just didn't do that.. that is sad! Gameplay wise, I know many people out there suggest just to focus the sword art skills. But the miko art skills are actually better than the sword art if you focus on upgrading the miko art's attack point in the beginning then you should have a smooth sailing at start by killing everything while only spend one MP in each battle. Each enemy is weak against at least one element. Miko Art skills are very powerful vs anything from the undead such as Gaki, to possessed Corpses. Other monster may require some other special spells such as the purgatory fire spell to tornado wind spell. I will spend point in this order by putting the main focus on Miko Arts: M Power points --> HP/MP (whichever first in your POV) --> then everything else. If you like more HP/MP while you hit the bottomneck at the Miko Arts then it is wise to take advantage by spending some points at the Sword Art skills by investing the points on HP/MP for easy upgrades This game is worth 7/10 for me.

While there is "technically" very little wrong with the game from a general use standpoint, the overall design is lacking, the scenes are uninteresting, the story is boring and it all comes off feeling like a complete waste of time by the end. Don't bother.

Here's my thought, prolly one of the most likeable characters on the page. Ruined by copied and past Slave sword, an H scenes with no way of getting out of. At least give us the option to get miko out of situations, caues why would he even help a shit ass village like this one if everyone fucks you over? i quit after 2 hours, caues i aint helping shit bois yuh feel me bruh? Put some respect on Miko foo

Its pretty much an recycled slave sword, and the main protagonist has a certain charm. That being said, the premise of the story does not work. Rural village is in dire need of some demon extermination, so you get called in like some demonbuster. Like typical shizzel for these type of games, but big exception is everybody is being an D!ck to said demonbuster why... Reasons. Pests like roaches get more favorable treatment then the main protagonist, while of course she can wipe out said village easily but the reason she is there in the first place is "her mom threatens to take away her allowance". Yeah at least give me the option to slaughter said village or abandon them right then and there. I guess the allowance was really something else, for me i found myself saying in my head allot yeah or she could kill you right here and now. For me not a game worth the time and energy it is a blatant copy and paste of slave sword only with a different theme applied. CG is pretty good but that is it, stupid motivations stupid plots which can easily resolved by the main protagonist shoving a sword in the village elder or leaving out right. But no you are stuck there for reasons. Listen if you like these types of games go for slave sword 1 and 2 better story and plots. Or you know go for a great game like lilitales or ambrosia hell even Kozue's strange journey these games let you make your own path and story of corruption. But hey to each there own, if you like these games go for it, if you want more interactivity in the story stay away :P

Waki miko Reimu~! - this is basically what every Touhou fan would be saying upon seeing Koyori! Eroges here on steam have always been either very good, or incredibly horrible! Finding something in the middle is harder than finding some that belongs on either of the extremes! Thankfully, I'm here to report that Divine Miko Koyori was, indeed, a very good eroge. What are the things that you look for in an eroge? What even is an eroge? It's not "Erotic Geh" it's "Erotic Game". The standards in this genre are vastly different from a normal game. For example: 1. Plot- is less than secondary. If you're looking for a game to introduce you to a colorful world that will intrigue and mystify you this genre is simply not the right one. And sadly, Divine Miko Koyori is similarly lacking in that regard. The plot is basically a miko (if you don't know what that is, it's basically a priestess or a shrine maiden) was called to help a village be rid of its problem concerning youkais (if you don't know what youkais are, they're basically supernatural beings like demons, spirits, or sometimes even gods). After arriving in the village she finds out that everyone in the place are as likable as a cuum stained deeldo, basically not at all unless you wanted to be pregnant or get aids. She also finds out she's the only girl in the village, oh boy~! Despite the obvious problem, apart from the youkais, she decides to fulfill her duty to honor her mother's legacy... oh and because she's afraid she might get shouted at if she returns empty handed. 2. Art Design- in any other genre, you would be forgiven to say "I don't care if the animation isn't as good, or the characters don't look as pretty. Just give me a good story." If you bought this game and you said that, then please put your name in the comments so we can laugh at you for your inability to read the tags you Microcephalic Addle-pate; heh, I bet you didn't even realize I called you a moron~. Anyway art design is top tier! Koyori is a beauty to behold! They designed our innocent Miko just right; moderately sized in the front, and bountiful in the rear! Koyori is a fresh and good example of how a realistic figure is more appealing than a bunch of cows carrying medicine balls on their chests! 3. Gameplay- like the plot, gameplay is pushed down, when it comes to eroges... actually, when it comes to JRPGS in general. If you're looking for some action packed features you're not going to find it here. What we have here is your good ol turn-based RPG setting. Turn-based RPGs can be fun, but that's rare nowadays because that requires a lot of mechanics to force you to plan your every choice of moves. However, here, it's literally just attack, defend, or heal. Winning in this game is just a matter of grinding your way to a level high enough so you can 1-hit everything, or at least out survive anything. 4. H- Gameplay- there's another type of gameplay when it comes to eroges, it's basically how you unlock CGs or h-scenes... and this is basically the main draw of the game alongside 'art design'. There are 3 ways to get forked in this game. a. Wait for an enemy to do its H-move b. Lose to an enemy who will then use your sloppy insides to polish his dirty rod c. Talk to the villagers, or trigger flags inside the village, because that's a village of deeks Losing to a boss nets you a game over, while losing to a random enemy you're allowed to be "let go" or if you're like me and you're psychotic "continue to get forked" and then be given a game over. 5. Voice Acting- the second most important aspect of the game, second only to art design in my honest opinion. All of Koyori's dialogues are voice acted! No silent protagonist here! She sounded ever so lovely in her h-scenes, you can hear the innocence in her voice, and how it's slowly robbed from her thanks to your stupid decisions you twaat! Make sure you double check how sound proof your room is, or at least wear a headphone because Koyori will make sure whoever hears her regret ever associating himself with you. Overall, I think Divine Miko Koyori is a great game. A very good game for its cheap price. A little tad short in my honest opinion but I'm satisfied. I give this game an Armpit/10 (For you non touhou fans, that's at least a 9/10). Edit: Oh by the way... Kagura Games old timers would already know this, but in case there are eroge virgins reading this... download the h-patch. It's already somewhere in the reviews... Don't be lazy.... "Your nyotaimori game is on point!"- Villager A
