I've bought that game on sale. It was interesting for me cos it in "retro" style. I am really fan of pixel-art / platformers games. As I can see it was made by beggin-tier studio, and it really strikes! Beautiful level design, nice audio, and other songs. Also, I can note animation and effects, they are made nicely ;). Seriously, but it is an interesting plot. Some pluses (+): +Audio effects +Animations and lvl design +Plot of the game +A lot of mobs, you can find easy and really hard mobs) Minuses(-): -Not find for me, lol That game 9/10, if u want to chill while playing you need to get that game ASAP. My lovely platformer . Thank you guys who made it!

Dark Reflection has you play as a teenage boy who likes heavy metal so much that he commits a ritual and casts a portal to a hell dimension. You know, like normal teenage boys do. While the scenario is interesting and the ending is hilarious, the gameplay is not so good, I'm afraid. This is largely because the player attack range is so short, it can only be seen with a microscope. It makes hitting enemies terribly frustrating. Thankfully Cheat Engine exists, or I would have never finished the game. Hope they address the issues when they make a sequel. But this one I can only recommend at a sale. 2/5

Dark Reflection was quite a surprise. Before playing the game, I was worried that this could be another example of indie games full of bad jokes and corny breaking of the fourth wall, but I was wrong. While playing the game, I had vibes not only of Splatterhouse for the gameplay and the art, but also of Harvester, a creepy and disturbing retro adventure, which was quite a surprise. The games last for around 2h of adventure and fighting. The puzzles are not difficult but you need to use the brain a couple of times, while some bosses or sections could be quite challenging. The game balances really well these sections, with more adventure elements in the beginning, and more fights toward the middle-end. As another review mentioned, the range of the attacks is really small, but for me, it was bothering for maybe the first 10 minutes. Then I was able to effectively understand when to attack each enemy, and I was able to finish the game without using cheats. Some sections can be challenging and need more tries, but it was never rage-inducing. After all, you are a kid using a kitchen knife, so I think that the small range was something that the devs actually wanted. But I understand that this could be quite bothering for many players. Dark Reflections is also incredibly full of secrets. Seriously, for a 2h game, there is an insane amount of interesting things very well hidden. You will probably need a guide to discover everything, but be ready for multiple endings, secret arcade levels, and hidden boss battles. It really surprised me the love and the effort that the devs put into the game. There are also multiple abrupt game-over scenes, based on the total freedom of the game. Stabbing your best friend with a knife instead of talking with him is a possibility, a well as following the directions of your evil twins. You can kill every character, usually receiving one of those peculiar game overs. Dark Reflections moves on a really thin line between dark humor and horror. It could be so easy to destroy the balance with one sexual dialogue more or a bad joke, but the game was always able to stay on the line, providing a well-balanced experience of dark humor and gore/horror so difficult to achieve. So many indie games destroy this balance with crappy jokes breaking an interesting atmosphere, or silly and over-used meta-gaming jokes such as "hey this is the dev, I am also a character of the game", but Dark Reflection was not one of these games, at least for me. I hope that in future the developers will be able to achieve again this balance. Because Dark Reflection is an indie hidden gem, not for everybody, but definitively many people will appreciate it.

Strange game, it's a fun throwback to simpler days. I was able to play through till the end, then I managed to pidgeon hole myself into a unwinnable situation so I restarted. The story more than a bit goofy, the art is simple and sometimes childish but once I started I couldn't put it down and ended up 100% the game. Use the Munk guide, it'll help. I managed to get to the final boss without it but I couldn't get past the endurance test with the final boss with just one health left...
