loved it-sure it is short but we would not mind paying for additional episodes, let us hope the devs can finance them with our purchase

if you have $5 for a 13 minutes long interactive short movie, you will like this. pro: cyberpunk bladerunner-ish environment. con: it's quite short, not much interaction, more like a short tech demo than a full story.

I was startled to learn it was almost entirely a narrative driven game as opposed to a sandbox or puzzle game. To an even greater degree, the gaming experience is better than most VR experiences I've had before in that it's a story told while you are sitting on a couch (however standing is more immersive). And to be perfectly frank, free locomotion option along teleport would be nice. But the story and the acting is amazing and will definitely wait for the future updates.

A great experience, though a little short if I'm to be honest. But what is there was really nice to experience, the elevator game was fun if a little bit tedious. As for movement; more types would be appreciated like locomotion and the like. Overall was a good short experience!

Platform: Valve Index (tested) Playtime is short but you don't need more. It's like a short movie - the narrative is full of information, 20 minutes ir enough. If you wanna more, you can go back and explore more props, listem to audio diaries, etc. I would recommend to make selectin of minchapters in menu. Great story. A catchy soundtrack and excellent art style will ensure you feel like Bladerunneresque era.

I would consider this game more as an interactive movie. Pros: Amazing voice-overs and soundtracks. Great story. Interesting props, related to story. Nice feeling of being the main character. Cons: Short (but I guess that was the idea to play and go back to real life lol). Animations needed more love. Elevator game could be more surprising (but I guess that's EA). I'm supporting the idea and looking forward to next episodes! :)

All in all, it gives a unique and immersive journey to explore the most important part of earth: family home... equipped with medical device which connects the brains of your family members (!). You get the unique feeling and knowledge on not so distant future. To fully understand the story, you will need to experience it like an immersive drama. For the story, Kamile VR is comprised of episodes. This is pilot episode. It's short, but has enough of points to feed your curiosity. I like the voiceovers, which connect you with quirky and lovable characters. Have fun 🙂

First, it's a story-first experience. Love the concept. Gameplay could be a bit more hands on with slightly less downtime, but it might be just my temper. I would've loved to listen to audio recordings while on the move. The story is mind-bending. With the setting they chose, the possibilities are endless. Extra points for the soundtrack, clearly a lot of care was put into the details. If I would have to think of something more well known that you could compare this to, the flow and gameplay in general reminds me of Vader Immortal. I'm a sucker for Cyberpunk and I'm definitely waiting for more episodes!

This is definitely a mixed bag for me, but not because of the gameplay, so I will get to that last. From a gameplay perspective this is a fixed location teleport game ONLY. I mention this because that's a deal breaker for some people, while it does harm immersion for me I do understand how it allows the developer to curate the experience a bit more.. and in a story-first game I can respect that. Production values are for the most part good. Enough detail, actual voice acting is not only present but reasonably good. The story is interesting thus far, very cyber punk-esque which is welcome. All around a good effort in my opinion. Now here's the rub, for a game which was admittedly "funded" I have a problem paying $5 for what essentially should be a free demo. This is hardly enough content to be considered a proper prologue, the only reason you see .4 hours on my play time is because I went AFK for a bit, and visited every single teleport point, and read every single item I could so that I could get a proper view of the story to be told. For most people this is probably 20 minutes of content at best. Were it not funded? That might edge me into the realm of willing to pay a few dollars for it to support development, but when you get into $5 and above I have some expectations beyond a demo, and one with no replay value at that. We all have our own code about such things, however, so I felt it best to report back my experience honestly and openly. :) Happy VRing to all!
Experienced on the Oculus Rift
You can view my review & gameplay here: https://youtu.be/Q8HL5NwozKY This is an approximately 15 minute long VR cinematic experience with a few interactions & 2 mini-games. It's a prologue to a story which may never be completed. The story starts out nicely and the world-building was good. The voice acting was also nicely done. However, everything else about this game is not good. You teleport via nodal teleportation. You can pick up items with your magnet hands, but most of them don't do anything. You can read notes to get background on the story. You can play drums which is actually the best interaction in the game. Unfortunately, there are two mini-games in this game. They are both boring & tedious. Some of the most awful inclusion on interactions that really do nothing but leave a bad taste in your mouth about the VR cinematic experience. I honestly think the experience would have been better without them or a very truncated version of them. Yes, they are that bad. At the end of the day, $5 USD is not a lot of money. However, while the story was intriguing, the rest of the experience was not. I cannot recommend this game at the currently listed price. Please note: I did buy this on sale for $2.49 USD during the Steam Fall Sale 2019 and that is a much better price point given the quality & quantity of the content here. Rate 4.5/10. Close call, but the bad interactions really put a sour taste in my mouth. Would have been better as a 100% cinematic experience with no interactions (when interactions are this bad).
