I have been having a lot of fun playing Sky Cannoneer! It has a great retro feel to the look, sounds, and has a lot of depth in the different levels you play and challenges that you're faced with. I love that you can switch up your strategy with the Tech Tree, and explore different specializations with your defenses with different upgrades. It's a really fun game that takes the spirit of a game like Rampart, and realizes what it would be like 30 years later with awesome graphics and a ton of depth to play through and enjoy.

A truly novel approach to blend action and strategy. Really enjoy the phased actions, though you've got to plan and implement quickly. Not only fun and engaging, but shows a bit of surprising depth as you get into the progression. Well worth it, you can easily dip in and out of as well.

A spiritual successor to the arcade classic Rampart. But much better. Better depth, better combat, better polish. This is a really fun balance of action and strategy. Quick bite-sized missions make it a joy to jump in and out.

Just started playing it, but so far impressed. It's a solid take on one of my favorite games called Rampart! Destroy each others walls and ultimately their generator to win the scenario. I did not seem to be able to blow their guns up. But can disable them, if they cannot build wall around them completely. Triple damage once all the guns are disabled. UI is a bit sluggish at times mostly during the between scenarios, but is acceptable. Actual action/game play is unhindered.

My previous review was written out of annoyance and misjudgment. I've created a new one. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4e6rgV10ANA

Every time I play I get sucked in! The upgrades grant fun and meaningful game play changes and I love the varied battle types (Damn Dragons...) There is a nice mix of quick thinking (rebuilding my fort walls is always intense) and strategy (which forts do I want to deploy, which powers and techs do I want to upgrade). It's just a lot of fun!

Very boring game. A few seconds of fighting a few seconds of building. And everything repeats itself.

I'm having a lot of fun with this game. There's more depth than I expected with the tech tree, upgrades, and super-powers. I'm a little over half-way through the campaign, but there's still quite a bit of replayability with achievements and 3-staring all of the levels. It's my go-to lunchtime game right now.

I loved the original rampart arcade classic, and have never been able to find a decent game to succeed it, until now. As a friend said "Its Ramparts in the sky". This game takes everything fun about the arcade classic Rampart and put it into a floating island theme and then added all kinds of extra perks/skill/powers to add depth to it. Very well done and enjoyable.

good game up to the point it gets extremely frustrating. There is a level called surgical strike in which the AI has overloaded boosters and their cannons fire non stop- by the time they get some more cannons built - your base becomes decimated . 3 cannons were shooting like machine guns. I think the ai gets boosted abilities. ie: there is a deflector ability when used it puts up a shield that lasts 2 seconds. when the ai uses this - the shield stays up significantly longer - i'd say double what player gets. IMO frustration kills a game and instantly gets a recommended no. I don't play games to get frustrated.
