This is one of those... eh I guess kind of reviews. It gets the thumbs up because honestly for $1 it's a decent little puzzle game.
You just turn the pieces around till you form a circular picture. It's a nice little time waster and honestly the art in it is very pretty. I quite enjoyed it. The thing is that the game is beatable in about 1.5 hours IF you take your time. My playtime only says 2 hours because I left it up on my computer.
So pretty rapidly you can beat the game.
However! it does have replayability as you are able to add your own pictures. I noticed some reviews wishing for this feature and I'm not sure if they just didn't notice it or if the feature was added after those reviews.
On the level screen there is a little folder off to the left. From there you can select a picture of your own and it auto generates it into a puzzle. A neat feature to be sure and makes it so that you can play the game over and over and over with more and more complex pictures.
The only downside to that feature is that it seems that you need a very specific picture size for the puzzle to not be missing half the pieces.
I recently told a friend that with his new hair cut he looks like that classic 1990s picture of The Rock with the phanny pack and gold chain. I still had the pic on my pc and that just happened to be the pic I chose to try out this feature. Alas as the picture is a classic portrait style picture two of the outter rights were made up of 2 pieces.
I get the feeling that it will be the same with any square picture though and that you need to use a circular picture for the puzzles to generate properly. With that being said... I don't know if I can be bothered to edit every picture I'd like to turn into a puzzle... into a circle....
It would be nice if a feature was added to the game where, if you use your own pictures, you can crop a picture in game to be a circle for a puzzle, or if the game would make a guess at how to make the picture you use a circle rather than a square or rectangle.
So as I said... this is an "eh... I guess" kind of review. It's hard to complain about a $1 game that is actually a functional game. The ability to add your pictures is great, but is far less useful when you realize you have to put in work for it to work properly. If you want to do that work though, this is a gem of a little game that is nice to just play casually while watching videos or tv.

this game is calm and relaxing. the paintings in this game are stunning. (I wish I knew the artist(s) name(s))
but there are two down sides to it:
1. the game is too short. (they could've add a part where you can make your own puzzles or some thematic DLCs)
2. the design of the background and the font is not good.

There's something so nice in that combination of gorgeous art, relaxing music and intuitive gameplay, that I completely lost the track of time. And the coolest part was obviously when I noticed the option to upload any picture you want, tested it on another cool picture from the Net and realized the infinite replayability potential THE ART has.

It's a fun simple puzzle game with a really satisfying mechanic. I loved sliding the radial segments around lining them up, and while it initially seemed like something you can just breeze through a couple of the puzzles did make me stop and consider what I was doing. It's cool that you can import your own images as well, that will be fun to experiment with. Some levels have a little mascot character giving various musings on art which is fun, but I wish she had some parting words on the final level. Definitely a nice and worthwhile little puzzle game for a low price.

Let's talk about THE ART - Metamorphosis. Basically it's a simple jigsaw puzzle game, but instead of fitting jigsaw pieces together you rotate these kind of "slides" to clear out the image and see it come together. So it's a non-traditional jigsaw puzzle game.
In it's own way it's interesting, the art is pretty, although people have different likes and dislikes when it comes to art and you can complete the game in less than an hour- achievements and all. But it can get repetetive to some. If you want to simply sit down and do something for an hour, this is game is for you!

The art is very pretty, for the most part. I think I'd have preferred for it to stick to one theme in terms of the art style.
The music is surprisingly amazing too. All in all a very nice, relaxing, if a bit short game. Adequately priced.

There's 40 puzzles, and a load your own picture option. The art is nice, and the little mascot is cute. It's pretty low on options though, with no windowed mode, and just sound on/off, no volume adjustment.
Overall, it's nice for such a cheap puzzle game.

Felt like a chilled, pretty game and I wasn't disappointed.
Great soundtrack, pretty pictures and not expensive. It is very short though and you can load your own pictures to complete but would definitely get a DLC with more levels
Beautifully designed :)

a few levels lock up my computer completely (you can edit the .cfg file to unlock/skip them). started the previous game in the series again, everything works fine there, so something has to be different here, even though it seems to work for some other people. I'm giving this a thumbs down until (if ever) things get patched up.
I didn't expect this to see the light of day, as the previous entry was pulled a while ago due to a shady publisher. it's exactly the same as that one, 40 rotascope puzzles, meaning each picture is presented as a circle cut up and you can rotate each layer until the image becomes complete.
it's something I first saw in pandora's box back in 1999, designed by the father of tetris, published by microsoft, so I jumped on the previous game and this immediately, as until then I'd never encountered any other puzzler using this mechanic.
the menu looks worse than in the previous game, can't take screenshots with f12, still no volume sliders or windowed mode (not even with alt+enter) and smaller puzzles still only occupy a fraction of the screen in the middle, so as I said above, it's exactly the same as the previous game, except it doesn't work properly, at least for me.
good pictures and music, should take about an hour, costs a dollar outside a sale, and you can import your own pictures and slice them up, but until it gets fixed, I can't recommend it, as I can't even play it. I hope more of these will pop up over time, but with more polish and content.
