I did enjoy the game for the amount of hours I played. It ended up being 6 hours. However, $20 for a game that realistically could be done in 3 hours with 100% achievements, isn't worth that much at all. The game has no replay ability unless you want to look at the same rooms over and over. If they decide to add more content I could be persuaded to change my mind but, overall a disappointment. Especially considering this is a game that came out in 2021, there is way to much room for improvement.

Unpacking is easily addictive and engaging, with a fun art style that includes a lot of details. I enjoyed the way that the story was told to the player without words - we got to come to our own conclusions by piecing together the story through the new places and items. Do I think that this game is worth it's price tag? No. There's only about 3 hours of content and then that's it. It's not really a game you'd play more than once or twice as nothing ever changes. You're better off spending your $20 elsewhere.

Short, relaxing, puzzle game. You can easily beat it in about 2 hours or so. But it's not the type of game to rush and beat imo. It's casual, relatable setting encourages a slow-paced gameplay and even returns after the story has finished. Great game and I do recommend it. My only critique is the lack of chapters. If DLC was released with more chapters for extended gameplay, that would be perfect. But still, a 5/5 regardless.

I love it. It's perfect. I wish there were more stories and levels (DLCs?). But with a little bit of time passed, you can replay the story and it's just as satisfying and perfect. And every time I challenge myself to organize it a bit differently, so it's never exactly the same. I 100% recommend if you like calm satisfying sorting games. AND it's queer! And I really love that!

If you're looking for a game where you can turn off your brain and mindlessly complete tasks, then look no further. However, if you want a game that takes an extremely meaningful moment in people's lives and tells that story exceptionally well, without words, then you might want to look elsewhere. Don't get me wrong; Unpacking is a cute game, but I expected more in terms of storytelling. It felt extremely surface level. As if they had a beautiful story idea, but put minimal effort into executing it. This might be unfair, but I approached the game hoping to find tiny details that could be interpreted by the player or snippets of the character's life through letters—anything that would create a more impactful experience. There was none of that. I wanted to feel something, but to me, this game ended up lacking depth, and I wish it hadn't.

The game was super cute and relaxing, but it really was super short for me, I bought it on sale but it was still expensive for what you get, I kind of wish we got different story lines with different "houses"

Alright so i bought this game 20 bucks thinking i'd play 50-60h. I played 3h is it enough to make you not buy it? Why did I BUY IT? Don't ask me. First of all, it's boring. You just put stuff in shelves and drawers. Second of all, it's short and I didnt get the story (if there's a story at all). Third of all, and most important, it's OVERPRICED. 20 bucks for a game you'll play 4h is NOT worth-it. If you look through the reviews, you'll see that the majority of the people who bought it (even positive reviews) have spent less than 5h on this game. 5h for 20 bucks is not alright: it's just wasting money. Fourth of all, it doesnt update. Bought it in 2024 (iirc), it's July 2025 as i'm writing this review, last update was Feb 2023. Games that dont update arent always bad, but with the fact it's super short, it's a downside for this one. Overall, do NOT buy it. If you really, really, really want it, please wait for at least a 70% discount.

This game is really cute but really short especially for the price. $20 for 4-5 hours of gameplay... just isn't worth it for me. I wish they would add more levels or something.

A nice game for when you just wanna relax, that tells a story of a woman growing up, purely through objects - no cutscenes, no dialogue, nothing like that. The achievements are also rather easy to get, so thats a positive for completionists i guess. I WOULDNT recommend getting it when its NOT on sale though, since it is a pretty short game, and 4-5 hrs of content is just too little for a price of 20€ , especially because its not that replayable imo. Besides that, definitely a game you should try

behind every stuffed animal and faded photo is a silent story of change, you’re not just placing objects - you’re witnessing someone’s quiet loss, her attempts to belong and the bittersweet moments where things no longer fit... literally and emotionally like when you move into a space and realise her diploma is tucked under the bed because there’s no place to hang it (。•́︿•̀。) or the heartbreak of squeezing her personality into shared shelves, knowing love doesn’t always mean acceptance (︶︹︶)
