It is not great. But it is better than many here says, mostly because they compare it to the first one and would like this to be more like it. The thing I like the most, is that you can buy units you lost back immedialitely after the combat if even one of them survived. That means that you don't have to go back to the place you first bought them to hire them back. This is a huge time saver and makes playing the game more enjoyable for me at least. The thing I like the least, is that computer doesn't play as effectively as it could, but as asshole it can. Even if it would be more beneficial to attack some other unit, it concetrates it's efforts to kill all of your units in one stack so that they all die. Then you can't buy them back and they don't get experience. Very annoying. All in all it is a decent light strategy game. Edit; It i s not very well written and voice acting is horrid. But it is a strategy game. So those things feel trivial to me, but I thought I should mention that too.

What a sh1t show, game has been out for years and some of the most annoying bugs arent fixed. Get on a horse and camera starts to be sensitive afuck, so you have to get a third party software to play the game. Devs promised to patch it but haven't done it for years. If ever only buy the game on discount.

Very well balanced. I could do without saddling up on the map but overall the strategy is super well done.

This is actually pains me to write it but I actually waited a monstrous sale to buy this one, it was not money issue, but I thought if fooled myself, I could avoid playing and remain my beautiful memories for previous titles intact. However dreaded day came in, a 90% discount and a bottle of vodka with few hours of free time to waste. My first reaction was "what the hell happened to this title?" Game felt fundamentally different than the original titles. This is a game where you can sense the ambition of devs with graphic push and voice acting, yet all they did discarded every single accomplishment and charm point it's former titles had. Former titles were highly stylised with innovative ideas, breathtaking adventure and incredible soundtracks I still listen to this day. Yet it seems in 17 years, everything could change for worse. This one however... Was a generic and soulless implement where even controlling your character is so clunky that it felt like a chore of its own.
