My children absolutely love this game! It has pleasant surprises, no obnoxious music, and positively delightful artwork! The scene-appropriate music compares to a movie score. I highly recommend this adorable game.

If you don't feel sleepy this could help. I think visiting 100 world in a hour worth a few buks. The game feels complete and have kind of intriguing experience what world would be next, The playthrough is relaxing and calm. Definitely recommend.

An abstract walking simulator driven entirely by aesthetics, and I mean that in a good way. A tour of dreamlike mini-levels with a minimalist ambient soundtrack. Would recommend thinking of this as a chillout experience rather than a gameplay-driven one, because it's an extremely effective one. Great at getting you into a relaxed headspace.

You follow a breadcrumb trail through 100 small landscapes. If you've watched old adult swim scenery bump compilations I reckon you'd enjoy this

Gameplay: You walk slowly and collect feathers, that's it.
It's a great minimalist game about atmosphere.
Some passages are creepy, some are beautiful, some are harder to describe...
Some vibe with you, some don't.
I really like this game!

I was reminded of the old Windows screensaver program After Dark numerous times while enduring this game. Please understand that I am not some fool denigrating the walking simulator genre. Far from it, as my purchase history on Steam will attest. But this thing is only a game by the most charitable of definitions. The player character model could just as easily be removed from the screen entirely, because the entirety of the interaction here is slowly scrolling across very pretty backdrops for an hour. The closest thing to gameplay is making sure you're lined up with the breadcrumb trail laid out for you at the onset of each of the games 99 backdrops.
It's pretty to look at, but there is no compelling reason to drop ten bucks on this.

Forgotten Passages offers an unusual bit of relaxed nostalgia for me. It does something I haven't seen since the mid-90s with 3D CGI first starting to get its legs under it. Similar to VHS classics like "The Mind's Eye," the whole experience exists without and requires no context. Each room appears to be an experiment with realtime game engine lighting and materials, procedural animations; a fulfilled curiosity in the technical process of making something beautiful, or ominous, or rad, or bizarre, or dazzling.
I recommend this game to artists and art-lovers. The freeform nature of the game has allowed the creator to put together a very nice variety of vignettes, and some may inspire you. For about 10 cents each, you could do worse!
I may somewhat recommend against the game for those who are achievement motivated. Eagerly seeking out every last pickup, for me, detracted from the game's greatest strength, and that is just allowing me to freely wander and enjoy the scenery. If you can, turn off the part of your brain that wants to collect everything and just let the mood of each scene soak in until you're ready to move on.

Forgotten Passages is a very relaxing walking simulator. The back drops are absolutely gorgeous and the soundtrack very mellow. Sometimes life requires a little zen, just take it slow and soak in some beauty. There is a scene select available after completing each one so you can easily go back for the red feathers if you missed them the first go around and want that completion.
Happy that 26PM decided to join the 2022 Summer Sale or I may never have come across this one considering it released in Jan/2020 and it's the first time I've seen it. Some kudos to SteamDB's for having the 'sort by historical low sales' option as well.
My only complaints would be:

Wishing I could disable the glow from the phone she holds for screenshots.
The achievement graphics are a missed opportunity for some beautiful crops of the scenes to use on profile showcase customizations once the game reaches Steam metrics & leaves restricted access.
TL;DR If you like walking simulators and beautiful scenes then I would suggest picking this up.

Forgotten Passages is an unusual walking simulator with no story attached. It really is experiential as it mainly comprises of brief vignettes of 100 different dreamscapes. By brief, I mean anything from 5 seconds to the max of 30 seconds! A benefit of this is that if you don't like an environment, you don't have to suffer for long!
Gameplay comprises of a little girl holding a mobile phone for light. She moves extremely slowly as you follow a trial of feathers which triggers off another portal. It is a simple game suited for children as there are no horror scenes. The slight challenge is finding the 43 red feathers within the 100 levels. Some are cunningly hidden.
Graphics are lovely as you wander through multiple dreamscapes. The mood shifts from level to level...going from natural, futuristic, bizarre and simply gorgeous in quick succession. You don't know what awaits you next and this piques your interest.
A warning for those with epilepsy or eye problems. There are levels with flashing lights and a couple of levels with over exposed environments. It is a challenge with the latter to find the feathers and the only guide is the slight sizzle sound when you find a feather. So hearing impaired people will struggle with these levels too.
The music is very unobtrusive and subtly changes with each level. This enhances the calm tone to the game and gives off a peaceful vibe.
My only complaint is that I did think it was quite expensive, but I bought it at a greatly reduced price in the last sale. I am happy to support a new indie dev and will be interested in their next project.
As Dahl says in her review.....you can go back at the end of the game to replay a level for those pesky red feathers!
Recommend for those looking for a calm, easy game with some eye candy. 7.5/10
