5 out of 5 stars. I loved the game, had some great scares. Very underrated game, hope more in the universe gets released soon! I do recommend a decent computer for peak gameplay.

Great grame and story but OMG the bugs are... wow!
Sudden stutter and slowness
But the WORST bug is that after playing a while this game I would lose internet conection and the only way to get it back was restarting my PC... and this game is the cause of it because I tried many other an no problem. Player 1h of this and BAM no internet... and worst when game did not save y progress and I had to redo a lot.
To show my apreciation for this game I pushed over and over again to finish it.
If you don't have this issues, great, enjoy the game. It´s quite good. Shame the scare part is only in the beginning and first cassette then it's not scary, I wish it kept going.

In Sound Mind is a great horror game, but don't expect a great horror.
It's a psychological horror game with its stories and character struggles. Each scenario and story in the game addresses specific issues in an incredible setting, complete with battles against monsters and bosses.
It's a great game that's worth its price, but if you want it, you can wait for a sale.

In Sound Mind is just amazing!!! Great environments, atmosphere, tension, music, voice acting and gameplay!!
If you like horror and psychological horror games, then it's a must play in my opinion. If you play in the max difficulty it offers you a survival horror experience as well.

some cool ideas and interesting (if not gimmicky) mechanics, clean execution from an indie team but just not for me...what many would find interesting and fun, i found tedious, unnecessary, and sometimes cheesy.
game might be for you but may not be...surprised it has such high ratings as it feels to me that its more of a love it or hate it type experience....and i definitely didn't love it.
all of that being said and despite my negative review, its based entirely on my own personal taste as there is nothing actually wrong with the game.

Genuinely the best game I played in a while. The way the lore was progressing, the ambience, the places, I enjoyed reading through all the scattered pages as well - everything was just perfect. Though I will admit I found myself screaming every now and then lol. I enjoyed every second in this game - well maybe not the 'blindy running around the map with the glass shard to find the pills' part, but other than that everything was chef's kiss. I did as many achievements as I could before finally finishing the game, and I will definitely sit down to 100% it. The ability to replay the already collected tapes is also an amazing feature for people that don't want to start anew [me], you can just go into your office, select the tape and boom - you're back at it again. Very nice for grabbing the achievements from earlier tapes.

I enjoyed a lot of the puzzles in this game, mostly the ones to get to secrets. None of them are very complex, but, it's enough to keep you busy for a bit, fill up on that dopamine rush.
Gameplay itself gets a little repetitive, especially with the 3/4 enemy variants, but, it does reward you for quick thinking in your approach to combat. Unfortunately, a 'survival' horror game it is not, even if the harder difficulty implies it. It has the Wolfenstein school of thought of ramming you full of health, items and ammo at every corner, which seems excessive for the amount you'll actually be shooting for. This game's main (mirror image) gimmick is kind of a unique take on the 'tagging outlines' most games do nowadays, and the only way to read hidden messages, but, really, I have to ask 'why.' It feels a lot like they were too busy figuring out if they could, to really stop and think whether they should. It really doesn't add much, aside from adding to the collectathon element going on to some of the stuff (Which is also a strange addition, but a welcome one). Only a few of the 'hidden' elements are neat (invisible entryways, items that only show up in the reflection, that kind of stuff), but, they're used too few and far in between to really merit the whole gimmick being there, imho.
The bosses are pretty unique in their design, but, as gameplay elements, pretty bog standard. (It runs at you, and you stave it off by doing damage or using something in the environment), and, as characters (with their writing and audio logs) some of them seem pretty cookie cutter, yet, the voice acting left and right does hit the nail on the head for these character archetypes. (Always a treat to hear Tomar and Rice's voice in something.)
The music is exceptionally good, at least, gameplay wise. I wouldn't listen to it in my off time, and some of the combat tracks feel dissonant to the story(/your character, mostly), but, dammit if they aren't perfect for the scenarios playing out.
Sound design is acceptable, nothing really above and beyond, but, the way some of this stuff is implemented (ESPECIALLY the ambient noises) is just fantastic.
Graphics are neatly, cohesively stylised, nothing mind blowing, but impressive on their own merit.
I do very much enjoy how things shift, warp and change around when you aren't looking. More games should implement that in a non-obtrusive and subtle way like this game has.
Writing ain't the best, a lot of it just sounds very shallow and edgy, with no substance to it.
But, then, not everything needs to be Silent Hill (2), right?
I was kind of expecting a lot more from it, with specific twists and turns, but, it seemed the game went with the opposite of what I was guessing was going to happen next. That's surprising. I'm not sure if that makes it good, or bad. At least less spectacular (or more? I genuinely can't tell.) Either way, the story doesn't really add much to the world, to be frank. I think I'd get the idea if there wasn't some random yapping in my ear or text log I have to read. I'd call it 'Hollow set dressing'. I hope, if there ever is a (spiritual) sequel, they go a lot more in depth and crazy with the writing.
The antagonist
agent Rainbow
is amazing. I really wish more games had this stalker that calls you from time to time, or randomly shows up to bully you, to add extra flair and tension to scenes.
The performance is a little lackluster, chugging at 120 FPS on my (somewhat again) machine one moment, and then randomly dropping to 30 to 60 FPS the next. Whether there's too much going on at those instances, or we're talking about very specific poor optimising of certain elements, I can't tell you.
The mouse also acts really weird in this game, sometimes randomly making you flip a 180 when you turn your mouse fast enough. It's almost as if the game loses control of itself for half a second, or something. Hard to explain.
I can tell this game was made by people around my age, because I recognise all the little nods and references in it. And there are a lot.
All in all, I would recommend this game wholeheartedly, as it's well worth the money,
