This is not a bad game at all and reminds me a bit of Klonoa.

Game is really nice if you are looking for some old school experience in 2.5D . Game is very challenging with a lot of interesting levels.

It's a very uninspired, souless and unpolished game... you don't even get credits when you finish the game. It's a very very short and extremely simple platformer where the gameplay kinda works... you jump, double-jump, wall-jump and pick blocks off the ground, that's it. It plays akwardly, - Visuals: the cutscenes are very basic but ok (btw I have no idea of what happened in the ending), - I'm pretty sure they use Arial font in italic in-game, - there are only 3 types of background in the whole game, - every "scenery" you will be seeing are just blocks, from walls and floors, to itens and traps, just blocks and blocks. - It's not challeging at all, just in the third "map" it gets a little more annoying but just because the game asks you to use their physics with an awful execution. - Music it's praticaly inexistent, - You barely see your character when you are playing (I tought it was a bear before I read ththis game page), - There are achievements only for progressing each stage, - I don't even know if collectibles in-game gives any reward, - The 3 or 4 bosses are very broken and etc... I was very hopeful for this game as I like platformers and had it in my wishlist for some time based on it's visuals, but in the end, I found it so bland, boring, I was sort of reminded of these old flash games... It gets you by but it's not really entertaining.

This is an amateur project at best, highly unpolished and controls aren't responsive enough. Don't waste your time...

Simple, short, and the jumping does not feel good. Most of the levels are just squares, there's no visual elements and the sound effects sometimes don't match. I'm 40 minutes in and I'm halfway through the game.

I wanted to like this game so much. I was halfway through, but the jumping was just so incredibly awkward I just had to quit. Wall-jumping is hit or miss... may luck be on your side because there is no technique for wall-jumping that ever feels right, and since it is required to progress through much of the game it becomes extremely painstaking.

Dotori is a simple little 2.5d platformer that advertises itself as "hardcore platformer", and it features 40levels in the main game and additional 25 bonus levels. I personally didn't find it to be hardcore at all, atleast with the main game, i've played just regular old platformers that are harder than this game so i find that statement to be a bit misleading or atleast unneccessary. Maybe the bonus levels are more "hardcore", but atleast for now i don't have any interest with them. I played the main game and got some easy achievements, that is enough for me. Is Dotori anything amazing? No. Is Dotori a great game? No. Is it a good game? Yes. And that is kinda exactly the impression Dotori left me with. It's not great by any means but it's far from bad. It's just fine. Everything about this game is exactly that, just fine. It's hard to criticize and even harder to praise. Gameplay, graphics, music, characters etc. are just fine Story? Don't care Levels? some good, some not so much. Boss fights are genuine hot garbage though. Not that they are hard or anything, they just suck. There also doesn't seem to be any sound when they are introduced so you are just left looking at kinda bad 3d model with some less than good animation in total silence, it's super weird. Also after the final boss the sound was completely messed up, so that might be something devs should look into. Overall it's just fine. Is the price good for just fine 2.5d platformer is up to you. I got the game on sale and i have no idea how much is spent so i have to assume i got my moneys worth.
