"The adventure game where you just have to walk in a line, forwards or backwards." - I didn't think they'd mean it literally. You don't really do anything and nothing really happens in this game. Achievements didn't even trigger either...

Short and sweet and also cheap.
It's basically a cute IQ test where you have to figure out what to do without straying from the path.
Try it out nya (ฅ'ω'ฅ)

A challenging game full of tricks and hidden methods to progress further. Definitely recommend if you want to poke around an anime adventure game with good humor. Also somewhat lewd. Total length is usually 2 hours or so, but that's from having to take a while to try and figure out how to advance. Will post full gameplay on this review soon, which can serve as a tutorial (however it was not edited for convenience).
EDIT: Here's my gameplay of Nyanco. Mostly everything is shown, as I didn't record it to be a walkthrough but it can work if you know how to put pieces together.

Nyanco is a very interesting game. It's an indie title that is short but sweet, seems easy but is actually quite tricky beneath the surface.
The game starts by a mysterious voice telling the player or Nyanco that a bomb has been placed inside her heart (seems kinda cruel but plot is plot no hard feelings XD) that will prevent the player from moving left or right period unless they want an instant game over. This remains as a prominent rule throughout the entirety of the game up until about the end of it. The game also presents itself as a type of puzzle or brain teaser of sorts because of this. As well as it asks the player to think outside of the box for a few different scenarios which was more than welcome to me as it is extremely inventive compared to all the other RPGMaker clone games out there.
When it comes to other things like making specific choices I recommend utilizing the ability of being able to save anywhere as this game can be unforgiving almost instantly and it will come straight out of left field for people unprepared. Picking one wrong dialogue choice or failing to act quickly enough can result in an instant game over for the player. Some people may find that aspect unappealing but if they pay attention and try hard enough these moments and puzzles really aren't that difficult especially if the player utilizes the save anywhere system. This game with it's arbitrary and random game overs kind of reminds me of two other games named "Unfair Mario and Takeshi's Challenge" but Nyanco is not to that degree of unforgiving difficulty it just shares similar aspects.
The story is kind of underdeveloped but this obviously isn't meant to be a story driven game to begin with. When it comes to if a game is good for me it must excel at one of two things.
- Having good or unorthodox/exciting mechanics
- Having a good story or plot line that is enjoyable to listen to and follow.
Now while Nyanco doesn't necessarily follow the latter it definitely follows the former.
About the art in the game, Nyanco has a very cutesy and adorable art style and I enjoyed looking at the Nyanco images in the game. The music was easily forgettable unfortunately and some of the game over sounds were a bit...... LEWD.
Lastly a lot of people were experiencing some bugs. Especially when it came to the acquisition of achievements for the game. If you are one of those people I recommend looking at the games BETA tab under it's properties in your Steam Library and changing it so you opt into the achievements version of the game. That way you achievement hunters can grab the achievements you desire. If you are still unsure on how to do that Nyanco posted a guide on how to do this and it can easily be found in the Community Hub for this game. I however did not have any issues with bugs nor did I have an issue with getting the achievements.
To sum it all up, while being short, Nyanco is a sweet, lightly lewd but entertaining and slightly brain teasing game well worth it's small price. I recommend giving it a play through. I look forward to playing the dev's other games and am looking forward to both their translation works and original works in the future to come.

I thought it would be funnier, and puzzles sometimes don't make sense. Also i don't think that hentai moans on game over screen are necessary

It's a pretty good game. You do the most simplest task: walk in a line. But everything's out to get you, so you have to check every single thing and save after every single puzzle you solve, because you have no clue what's going to murder you. Artwork is also cute, and the endings were good & funny. Also the menu music slaps. Maybe we should get a Nyanco hentai.
All in all, it's a quick play, took me about an hour. It's worth the two dollars.

*cough* As much I wanted to parody Nyanco, because imitation is the best form of flattery, do not take this game lightly. While it is RPG Maker, she trolls with the mightiest of mighty. Her trolling knows no bounds and you will get a plenty "Game Overs" before you finally see the end. Think what you must if it is a short game (and it is about 2hrs roughly) but lo behold what may seem like a simple game is not as simple.
As a masochist, I found this about as fun as playing Dark Souls with just the base sword. Challenging but fun. And as I told a friend while playing this game it's all "a** and trolling." Still fun never the less. Well worth the 1.59 (or 1.99) if you purchase it later.
I feel though there can possibly be more to the story, I mean the humor was spot on so, I hope there is more to come.
