Solid, hits the nostalgia strings well

It just doesn't work on MacBook M1. Heroes can't go anywhere in-game. They just stand still.

Classic.. And it runs good for me. Had to avoid messing with the resolution settings though. The preset one it gave me had all kinds of issues. But once i picked the right one everything is good. I loved this game back in the day! And looking forward to clearing this ready to play the new one coming out eventually!

I bought this game to run on my M3 Macbook Pro. Everything loaded up to the opening scene but I couldn't control any of the players. Something was incompatible and it was a big disappointment because I played it on my old windows computer years ago and it's a blast. If you liked playing with green army men when you were little, then you're going to love this!

Can't recommend before you fix basic, annoying bugs... Natasha is almost unplayable. The uniform icon is wrong all the time, and she doesn't go back to military uniform when losing disguise very, very often (most of the times). When you select a commando by pressing his/her number twice, it doesn't move the camera to that commando like the original game did. This means that, once you are inside a building and want to select a commando outside, the camera remains inside... Which makes it basically unplayable. And yes, removing the symbols, pictures and other references does annoy me. It's just silly, since the original game we have moved 20 years further away from the actual war, I don't see why the symbols were there back then but not now, makes no sense.

This game is bugged and incomplete , suppose your character is inside the building or any house for that matter when u press 1 the camera angle should shift to Green Beret but it doesnt , it works only when you are outside of the building .

This is such a waste of potential, the quality of this remaster is laughable, it feels amateurish asf. Updated interface is horrible, assets are upscaled very poorly and some are rather pixelated. Add to that the censorship, new bugs and basically zero additional quality of life features and you get this abomination. Its basically a low quality mod that you have to pay for and to be honest you are better off just buying original Commandos 2 and modding it using HD Project mod. Quality of this remaster doesn't inspire hope for the new Commandos: Origins. Thank heavens for the Steam refund policy. Check out War Mongrels and 63 Days games from Destructive Creations for a great modern renditon of Commandos gameplay.
