Recommended. Great single player experience. might try out co-op and multiplayer

Game is a complete stutterfest. The performance is all over the place where moving your camera can cause you to lose half of your frames on top of the stutters. Besides the performance, the game also feels clunky. The sailing in acts 2 and 3 is cool for like one act. It didn't need to be both acts. There is a really cool moment near the end of act 3 that I wasn't expecting and was actually a welcome surprise. There were a few bugs that required reloading a checkpoint but it was minor. The main reason I'm not recommending this game is because it's a stutterfest and mediocre performance.

Had a lot of fun shooting... aliens? I don't remember at this point. But the campaign is pretty good. Gameplay is very fun and engaging

This game no longer works at least on windows 11, I had no issues with the game in the past, but I went to go re-download it today and noticed an issue between EAC and a Windows Security feature. the game refuses to launch and displays error code 30005 (1275). the game is a virtual paper weight at this point, it should be illegal to sell broken games

played this game a lot on xbone, copped on pc to play with friends. the negative reviews are mostly about the campaign and the positive reviews are mostly about the multiplayer. personally, i stopped caring about the story after gears 2 but i understand that's half the game. what i will say is the multiplayer feels like the good old days. gnasher is just as satisfying as ever. online gameplay is fluid. if you're on the fence and missed old gears gameplay, i definitely recommend it especially when it's on sale (it was just on sale for 10 dollars). and having locust skins for the swarm and all the carmines is a beautiful thing.

This is my first gears game. I'm surprised this was a high budget game. We did nearly all the side content along side the campaign and the game was over quickly. Nothing really stood out for me that made me feel good about buying it.

Is it perfect? No. But in its current state it has heart, polish, tight gameplay, fun co-op, and everything that makes Gears great. Until we get a Gears Collection on Steam, this is the best thing a PC player and Gears Fan can get. Buy it on sale and you won't be disapointed.

great gameplay like always but kait is not a good character in this game. JD was way better and was treated like trash and kait was treated like a queen who can do nothing wrong. i want them to bring JD back as the main character in the next game and have kait as a supporting character like in gears 4.

Never played a Gears game and I got to say that I really enjoyed Gears 5 campaign and the DLC Hivebusters. Didn't expect the story to be somewhat of a soap opera, also I got lost a bit with whats going on because I'm coming in at 5. BUT it didn't matter. Game was fun and I would recommend it. It's definitely must if it's on sale.
