I've been looking a long time for a fun arcade racer that isn't about hyper speed and reflexes. This game scratches this itch perfectly. The presentation is very slick and everything feels extremely polished, from the cute graphics to the driving model. You get exactly what the previews show and if the camera perspective is not for you, than neither is this game. But if you just want to race and drift without being overly stressed, this is a gem.

Not worth it. the game is boring and if you are behind, might as well restart. you are not catching up.

Listen up, folks—if you ain’t first, you’re last! And Circuit Superstars is definitely first in my book. This game is like a big ol’ glass of Mountain Dew—sweet, smooth, and guaranteed to get your heart racin’! It’s got that perfect mix of high-speed action and just enough realism to make you feel like a true race car driver (without the risk of flipping your car 12 times and catching on fire).
Now, don’t let that cute top-down view fool you—this game’s got some serious horsepower under the hood. The cars handle like a dream, but you gotta put in the work to master ‘em. You can’t just stomp the gas and hope for the best (well, you can, but you’ll be kissing the guardrail real quick). Tire wear? Fuel management? Pit stops? Oh yeah, it’s got all that fancy strategy stuff too—just like the pros, baby!
And the multiplayer? Oh, it’s like Talladega on a Saturday night! Close racing, bumper-to-bumper action, and just the right amount of chaos to keep things interesting. Plus, there’s leaderboards so you can prove once and for all that you’re the fastest thing on four wheels.
Bottom line: Circuit Superstars is fast, fun, and makes you feel like a legend behind the wheel. If you love racing, you NEED this game. Shake and bake, baby!

Fun, cute little racing game. Strikes a nice balance between arcade and realism. All the cars feel like they go at similar speeds but they handle differently enough from each other that they feel like their own product.
Highly recommend if you are a fan of time trials, hotlapping, or a fun kinda sim mostly arcade racing game.

I have never written a review for a game but there is 1 problem with Circuit Superstars that prevents it from being a massive sensation.
It is the collision lag in multiplayer. The devs have created an online matchmaking system and regardless of driver griefing (people ramming instead of racing) there is still a massive issue with inconsistencies when trying to drive close to another player in an online lobby. Not even when you hit another player, just driving close to them can cause a massive lag spike which causes your steering and other controls to behave weirdly. I don't really need to explain why this is a problem in a competitive racing game. My friends and I all experience the same issue, likely due to high ping. While we don't experience this issue nearly as bad in private lobbies (mainly because we have better ping I would assume) the solution to this seems pretty obvious: remove collisions in online play. The game already has this feature possible but yet the devs choose to keep collisions enabled online which prevents any sort of actual competitive racing from happening.
I recommend this game 100% if you want to do time trials or play in private lobbies with your friends. If the devs removed online lobby collisions that mode would be great as well but in the current state I find it more frustrating than enjoyable and just turn to private lobbies or time trials instead which unfortunately has a limited shelf life.
Edit: I'd love to leave this as a 50/50, not recommended or recommended but unfortunately Steam only gives you 2 options.

I have played a lot of driving games, recently Art of Rally and Super Woden GP2. I have thus far managed to get used to different driving models and controls but this was the first time that I don't have a handle on the cars.
Problem is turning, these cars turn on the dime and unlike any other game, you must keep applying slight pressure on analog stick or tap arrow keys to continue going to your desired direction after turn. Steering magically reorients if you don't. Even different types of cars have this strange way of behaving.
I really like the look and design of the game, clearly there is a lot of work and polish in this game but because there is no way to change driving model or adjust the analog joystick controls to more traditional feel, I unfortunately can not recommend this game to anyone that has similarly long history with driving games.

really cute top-down low-poly racer. the physics are a lot more slidey than i was expecting but generally i adjusted pretty quickly
i've only played a few hours so i'm not sure but i hope there's more cars per class either in the game right now or at least later down the line with an update or even DLC

I think this game is really well-made with lots going on, but ultimately the camera angle destroys my brain. There is no good reason not have a top-down rear chase view. Its more like directly overhead and I find it so hard to keep track of where I am, whats around me, and where I am going.
Hope they make a similar game with slightly different style, cuz there is something good here.

This game is really fun. It's not easy and when you first start, you'll be terrible so don't expect immediate, arcade like racing success. This is a sim racer.
The art-style is great. Cute & colorful. They give you a lot of customization options right from the jump but as you do the grand prix events, more things get unlocked so that's nice that there are things to look forward to.
Being an indi game, I wouldn't go into this expecting you'll race online vs people but this is a great game to play vs computer & try to win all the events there. If you want you can challenge people's online track times in ghost mode so there is that if you're looking for a multiplayer aspect. There are multiple difficulty levels and I recommend starting with the Amateur as you first start off. You'll lose to that early on anyways.
Worth picking up for sure.
