Just no... Don't buy this game... I do recommend it for @Tryyton who likes derpy games for his channel at twitch.tv/tryyton but for me, I just don't have the patience for a game of this caliber.
Like it has good intentions, with it's hunger/thirst/stamina/fatique, crafting, etc... I found fruit, was hungry, ate it, didn't change the values however, still hungry. And you have to press R for basic crafting and B for advanced crafting...
I recued this lady from a hut for example: https://clips.twitch.tv/HappyGracefulMeatloafAliens
My character feels way too small, running could be faster and jumping should be higher. Maybe an option too, to turn of the footsteps sounds? https://clips.twitch.tv/GrotesqueGrossCheeseTBTacoRight
I wasn't hungry, there was no monster behind me, my health was 100% and suddenly this happens: https://clips.twitch.tv/CarelessKitschyBurritoDAESuppy Just random, just like that. No explanations...
The idea might be good, but the execution of making a game from it is bad. Maybe another DEV sees this game and thinks, let's collaberate and make a decent game from this. I just do not recommend this game.
However, I do like the idea behind it, the setting of a prehistorical world, the goal of the game. But for recommendation, no points. Sorry.

Not much to say about this game needs alot of work but if dev would just work on it and update the ai and make player move faster might be a nice game but would say rule of thumb on steam be cautious when buying a game from developer that uses same name for studio and game title recommended game only for people that like to collect games and just want it but would say buy it on sale

Just another extremely low effort asset mash together that is so buggy, broken, and lame that it's obvious that even the developer himself wouldn't want to play his own game.

Nothing more needs to be said.
NOT RECOMMENDED. Not even worth 25 cents, much less five dollars.
My Score: A Big Fat "Asset 0".

Move over ARK. Island 1979 is here!!!
This single indie developer who has taken the same name as his only pinnacle product, like John Hammond has evidently spared no expense in order to bring his islands crafting game main attractions to the attention of the public. Sit back in your computer chair and be thrilled at the seismic poundings of the 20ft blind as a bat T-Rex, shriek at the giant tarantula's that seem to have only one health point, ride the back of alligators like a red neck showing off to his cousin and let your last words be 'clever girl' as you pierce through the long grass to find a raptor who has difficulty making a 3 point u turn.
Fun is only hindered by your lack of imagination and the fact that your plonked practically on an island pretty clueless what the hell your supposed to do as the game tells you zip. The overall objective is to find 7 different nucleus hidden on the island in special crates and place them into the basic crafting menu to create a fusion cell and then place that into your special space car on the island and leave. End of game which just returns you back to beginning.
Other than that, this crafting game also explains practically nothing about crafting either. The only thing I could destroy on the island was rocks. From which the following I was able to craft in the advanced crafting menu.
2 Rocks = Ore
2 Ores = Coal
1 Ore 1 Coal = Iron
Iron = Crowbar.
Crow Bar breaks locked doors.
Also on the island you will find scattered various antimatter from which you can craft the following...
1 Antimatter in top row in various positions = Pistol ammo / Rifle ammo / Long Rifle ammo.
2 Antimatter in top row in various positions = Exploding barrel / Knife.
If you’re looking for how to get guns themselves they are hidden in special crates on the island, personally I only found the long rifle (on top of a tower), the knife (crate near the car) and the pistol (tents behind you, down the road, as you appear).
There is a number of things that no one has figured out yet as 1) No one has the patience, or as meaningless life as me to be bothered and 2) Non responding developer must have been killed by one of those raptors that find turning in this game an absolute cow.
Things that no one knows...
1) How do you make bags to increase your inventory space?
2) How do you use the campfire wood?
3) What is the point of rescuing a cub?
4) What is the point of rescuing a slave girl who merely begins kick boxing you in the back of the head when you attack one of her homies?
Movement is tedious. Really tedious. Indie developer decided to pad his game with that stamina constantly draining mechanic. Personally I think he should have gone the opposite and made us zip around like sonic the hedgehog and bounce around like we were firing thrusters from an iron man suit, hell everyone would have bought his game then.
Movement on towers is tedious. To go up them you need to stand still next to them and press space bar only, not hitting any additional movement keys until you get to the top. To go down you have to press left control, again not pressing any additional movement keys. If only I could 'Hulk' move and push every tower over, then everyone would have bought this game.
Opening locked doors is tedious. You have to press f on the locked door. Then press 'i' for inventory, drag your crow bar to the locked door and place it in special box on the locked door and then press the break button on the locked door and finally drag your crowbar back to your inventory and then close all the boxes. Why can't I just fruiting incinerate the locked door with my power gloves? Then everyone would have bought this game.
Finally, my last gripe is with the exploding barrels they just pop. Seriously? Really? Are you dead set for real? The greatest thing in the game and it just fizzles? Why couldn't you make the shock wave blow all the trees down? Why couldn't the shock wave crispy fry all my skin? Why couldn't the shock wave set the T-Rex eyebrows on fire? I want a Michael Bay BOOOMMMMMMM!!!!
"Mr John Hammond. After careful observation I've decided not to endorse your island..."
