This is so much fun to play whether you're on your own or with friends. The community is very inviting and it's like foxhole but without the crazy commitment. Highly recommend!

It's like the original GTA but with boots on the ground strategic military action and online pvp. So nothing like GTA, except the top down perspective and the power to run over people and laugh and laugh and laugh.

It's little to say that this is amazing game, developers and community!
As someone who is/was not playing a lot of top-down shooters I got to say that this game made me addicted!
It's very easy to understand for beginners so I do recommend this game as a great start to the world of top-down shooters!
With plenty classes to choose from, you can play the match and immerse yourself into battlefield however you want to!
From Medic to Sniper every important class is covered. Squad leader can also build FOB's (bases for players to spawn) and rally points and protect them with barriers! Now put some mines around get that mortar set up and shoot away! I will not spoil the rest, so I will leave for you to discover because this game truly offers so much!
As someone who also played a lot during betas I got to say that developers are really amazing and open to suggestions! They really listen to community and deliver! So much has been implemented on the players request during early stages and for small indie team they really work very hard and are putting a lot of love into this!
I give them 10/10! For 15$ this is a no brainer! You will get a lot of hours of fun from it! Strongly recommend it!

This game reminds me of a mix between Metal Slug (which was one of my all-time favorite arcade games growing up) and our modern day Call of Duty/Battlefield type shooter-games with game modes like "Ground War", that contain objectives to capture and hold positions on the map, in order to advance further and win. It's not simply just a top-down, run and gun, shooter game, but it provides a platform for large, multiplayer, objective based combat that is fun to play with a big group of friends. Additionally, there are vehicles within the game that can be used to transport yourself or your teammates to different spots on the map, while simultaneously being utilized as weapons. The top-down view also gives the ability to see quite far on the map, in a full 360 degree view, so it makes it easy to engage in combat no matter which side you're being attacked from.
I'm pleased to see how years of hard-work and culmination have come together to produce such a fun and great game! In other words....... WOULD.

This game is the perfect blend of tactical and fast paced gameplay. The topdown perspective adds a really fun and unique twist to the milsim genre. All the strategery with squad leaders, vehicles, supplies and building is really interesting and the topdown combat actually works really well and is very satisfying. You can tell a lot of thought went into the development of Operation Valor, unique games like this should be supported!

Operation Valor is basically if Squad and Foxhole had a baby, but in the best way. The top-down perspective adds a whole new tactical element to the experience and I love the teamwork it takes to be successful each round. I've been a believer in this project since the first beta play session and I'm so glad the rest of the world finally gets to try it out!

Its an okay game, but there is barely, if any players online anymore. There will be no future updates to this game, so I cannot recommend you buying it.

I refunded the game, not because it's bad. Just that there was only 1 mode and there was only 1 player on when I tried it. The game seems good itself, it just needs more of a community that plays to keep this game alive.
This game is exactly squad rules with foxhole type gameplay. There is AI to take over for the lack of players, but they're not great. This game has a lot of potential, but it's just not something I'd put squad down to play with where it's currently at. But it's not bad enough to give it a bad review.
If you don't mind a game where you're up against AI, I'd def recommend this game. I was told real players form games from time to time, but I just know I would never be around if/when those happen.
Kind of felt misled by the other reviews, so hope this gives more realistic expectations when buying this game

I played through several of the full gameplay playtests on various maps and can heavily recommend this game. The sheer amount of mechanics and tactical strategy (virtually all main Squad elements) is massive but takes very little time to learn compared to more hardcore tactical games. But the casual side doesn’t detract from the gameplay, as proper strategy and squad choices can be the difference to turn a match around. Holding down massive urban objectives and creating bases for your squad/team is easy to learn while tricky to master. The combat is also very rewarding once you figure it out, using cover effectively while pacing shots for accuracy with highly lethal TTK. The satisfaction of a small squad on a perfect flank of a massive group is fantastic, reminds me of FPS shooters like Insurgency and Squad. A great introduction to tactical shooters thats completely unique, while also respecting the best aspects of the games it draws inspiration from. A great game to get a squad of friends and run as a unit as well.
