Blair Witch had a lot of potential, but the execution falls short. While the atmosphere and forest setting are great, the gameplay quickly becomes repetitive and frustrating. The controls feel clunky, the puzzles are tedious, and the pacing drags the experience down.
The story is confusing rather than engaging, and the scares rely too much on cheap tricks instead of true psychological horror. It’s a game that starts strong but loses its charm fast. Unfortunately, it doesn’t live up to the iconic movie it’s based on.

It's a decent walking simulator that you may enjoy if you liked things like Dear Esther and The Vanishing of Ethan Carter, but it gets a bit repetitive and tedious by the end IMO. It does justice to the movie series it's based upon though so that's alright.

Shorter than I though.
It got VERY good at the end. Until then it's kinda like a "walk in the woods".
Problem is that you really can't expect to get the "good ending" on the first run, almost impossible and that's annoying. Hidden mechanics do not help and is frustrating. Doesn't invite really to play it a second time to try it since the beginning and middle part are kinda boring (specially if you already played it). So most of us end up watching the other endings online.
I wish the team to learn from this game and improve for the next one!

poorly written, incoherent, lousy gameplay
Feels like it was written by someone who doesn't know what's actually scary. There was no notion of fear or horror. Has absolutely nothing to do with the Blair Witch movies and did them a huge disservice. Defiantly not worth the full price. The last level wasn't scary, it was annoying, how long should we spend wondering around a house? and for what??. Feels like I didn't have enough influence over the end, it should've given me the option to move forward with what happens. I wont be replaying this again *uninstalls *

i was expecting this game to be at least remotely similar to the movie. it was just super intense, and a completely different approach. it may have been good if i had different expectations, but this had nothing in it that i loved so much about the blair witch project. :( well done, but the segments were drawn out for so long and beaten to a pulp. aaaahhh i wish i enjoyed it, but i just didn't at all.

TBh i lost so many times in the forest and that was so frustrating, you're basically just walking around and don't know where to go next.. game graphics looks amazing..and the aspect of using the dog was a little pit helpful

For what it is, this is pretty darn neat. Not super crazy but its a good horror game and gots a decent story to be honest.
Worth a try specially on sale and if you like horror games, about the only issue I got is the dogs barking.
