If you are up for a challenge, you could give this game a try. Cutscenes are an interesting touch. Graphics are cute and gameplay is nice.

The game is berry hard!
It has carefully crafted levels and a very interesting story behind the races. Attention to detail is amazing by devs. Definitely worth every single penny even if you fail to play it.

One of the best platformer games that i've ever played. You need to jump on it immediately!! )

Wow, this is like Super Meat Boy inside an adventure game. Or an advanture game inside super meat boy. Gives you the taste of watching Bandersnatch movie. I guess you should stop reading this comment and other comments also. Just buy the game and experience it yourself.

Interesting and unique idea for a platformer but the game just feels absolutely atrocious to play. The controls feel extremely jerky and awkward, the camera is way too zoomed in, and many of the mechanics are just plain annoying.

The game is definitely unique and is decent in concept
Unfortunately I just wasn't a huge fan of the platforming.
-The camera is zoomed in way too far for how fast paced the game is.
-The player movement and mechanics just feel a bit too clunky and "jerky"
-There is no quick restart button when you are trying to speedrun the stages for "perfect" status.
The camera being zoomed in too far is the biggest issue. If this was adjusted it would alleviate the clunkiness issue, and you would have to restart far less while speedrunning because you would actually be able to look and plan ahead a bit more rather than basically being forced to rely on pure memorization of the level.
Speedrunning is obviously always about memorization to some extent, but its much easier to remember what is next when you can see more than 1/2 a second into the stage.
Just using Super Meat Boy or Celeste as comparison, you can only see about 25% to 50% as much of the stage at one time.

A good challenging platformer.
Game is simply without much story, you control a box and you need to jump at the right moment to climb up, and make sure not to miss any enemies.
What I begin to find it difficult is to do the jump - dashing and break walls at the same time.
I stopped right before I got angry about myself.

I wanted to like this game, but sadly it is a little too wonky for me.
I played through roughly half the game, seeing as there are 12 worlds and I am on world 6 right now, but it just keeps annoying me more and more.
The Pros:
- The story inbetween isn't much, but I liked that little world and would have liked to know, why the stuff is going on, that is going on. I don't know if it explains it all at the end, but so far I was always happy for a little break to click on a new message.
- The graphics are clear, you can clearly see the path you want to take and most of the time, how to approach it.
- The controls are very responsive, feels pretty good to use.. however..
The Cons:
- For me personally, it feels a little too fast to react to stuff you have not seen yet. There are all kinds of moments where you will die, because you'll need to remember how the level is built to properly maneuver through them. I know that the game has an assist mode, but I've played through all kinds of incredibly hard platformers in my life and never did I need to use some kind of assist mode. If this was the only complaint on my end, I am sure that I would have powered through, since I love a challenge and hard games in general. It's just that it doesn't really feel fair in this game.
- You don't see enough of the level. This point is probably an extension to my previous point, but if you could see more, you could react better. Sometimes there are "springs" that launch you up into a deathtrap, to which you can only really react, if you know that its there beforehand. Its a cheap death everytime it happens.
- The next point is what made me stop playing this game any further:
It feels bugged. I don't know if everything i've encountered is intentional or not. there are times where you get launched by the little enemies that you need to kill/collect and get so much speed from it, that it launches you THROUGH the walls. I played a bunch of levels that I felt like were way harder than they had to be, just because I had to play around the fact that it would launch me somewhere I am probably not supposed to be. (might even be intentional, but it feels like a bug to me at least)
- Lastly, I reaaaally dislike games that don't let me play in windowed mode, since I play ALL my games in a window. I noticed that if you spam Esc in the menus, it slips into some form of windowed mode, but it doesn't work properly and cuts of parts of the game, and I guess wasn't even intended to work, since I just tried to quit the game at that time, which made me figure it out by accident.
As much as it annoyed me, I also had a lot of fun, but the bad things just kept piling up the further i got. If I could, I'd give a rating between "Yes" or "No" But as I gotta decide, I gotta say no.
Theres definitely fun to be had though!

A Night at the Races is a really well made speedrun-focused runner/platformer hybrid game. This game came out of no where, and I picked it up thinking it would be nice to play here and there. I played like 20 hours in 3 days because it was that good. I really recommend playing this game, it's a magical experience.

This game is not like any other platformer I've played.
- Has an original movement scheme where you can never stop and it's all about the flow and moment to moment decisions and muscle memory.
- Game starts as a point and click game! I was weirded out at first but it actually has a really interesting world. What the main character is going through feels like a personal tale, while the gorgeous art keeps you wanting for more.
I'd recommend this game for people who:
- want to be challenged.
- look for something different.
- enjoyed games like Super Meat Boy where it's all about getting into the flow, keep failing until nailing the level.
