One of the weaker ones...At what I thought would be about halfway is the ending. Generally speaking the whole thing is...fine. I'd say even $5 is a bit rich considering that;s the same cost as something new like Whiskey Four....

It's difficult to find good interactive fiction with positive reviews, but Fool deserves more notice. The skill system is new and interesting- your aptitude determines success or failure, but more generally your mood determines the overall outcome- if your attitude doesn't align, it'll color the action and could swing negative even if you had the skill. This creates interesting situations where based on how you've played, you may want to take riskier decisions just because they are "in-character" and therefore more likely to succeed. That's something I haven't seen before, and I love it.
The setting and focus is also refreshing- I think it's one of two stage-oriented stories on Steam. A good use of two and a half hours for a first play, and well worth the money. There is definitely enough branching for additional plays although achieving specific outcomes may take some thinking.
