This is great fun! It reminds me of some of the classic platformers, but it is really fast paced and challenging. This game does not pull punches, one life is all you get (as far as I have gotten) and it could prove frustrating to some. However, each play through has allowed me to get further so the frustration is accompanied by a sense of accomplishment and a better grasp of the game world and how it operates.
This is a nice way of balancing an otherwise difficult game mechanic, and I find it refreshing to have to work for the goal in this sense. I am assuming, maybe I'm wrong, that there might be some kind of checkpoints, but we will see going forward.
If you want a good challenge, without the long term commitment, then Guns of Midnight is just the thing!
