Just a wonderful soundtrack of a wonderful game. I’m not sure whether this is the first full-fledged work of Darren Korb at all, but this is the first serious work for sure. And he performed just great. Decent and pretty unique OST with a combination of different musical instruments, though still focused on the guitar. I can recommend it for everyone who liked the original game: this soundtrack is worth every penny.

Good soundtrack, but please add .flac. You can buy this losslessly on Bandcamp, why not here?

Very good OST. The vocals by Ashley Barret & Darren Korb are spot on and will give you goosebumps, the other soundtracks of the OST are fantastically produced as well.

Good soundtrack with a western-type feel. Intensity varies by track. Overall the album is too distracting for background, but is good for listening. While I do not like Bastion much myself, the soundtrack is definitely a point in the game's favour. As much as I am tempted to leave a negative review here because the first track is just that dang narrator talking EVEN MORE, the soundtrack is too good. So unlike Bastion itself, the soundtrack gets a recommendation from me. This release is MP3 only.

Together with the narrator, the amazing soundtrack is another thing making bastion a game I will remember.

Bastion to me has the best video game soundtrack in existence. I'm not exaggurating and I see this en par with The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. And then long time no 3rd. I can't even quite put into words how amazingly well done every track is and how it'll remind you of details you discovered and experienced in this outstanding game for years. I heard Bastion's soundtrack for 3 months straight every day whenever I was outside the house without ever getting bored and still love every single piece of it to this day. TL; DR: Almost as good as any Beatles CD.

This psuedo-bluegrass acoustic frontier trip hop album is quite nice to relax to. The singers are on point, and overall this is a recommended listen.
Soundtrack
[olist] [*] Get Used to it: This song features Logan Cunningham, the voice of the stranger, as he ushers you into the soundtrack, and a bit of the story of the game. [*] A Proper Story: Staple song for an electronic rock style, featuring several string instruments, but also an electronic industrial feel. [*] In Case of Trouble: One of the more funky rock songs you'll get used to hearing, as it is played quite often, Darren Korb proves that he can jam. [*]Bynn the Breaker: A more industrial sounding song, with rhythmic hammer like beats, and prominent violins to keep the frontier feell. [*] The Sole Regret: A very slow start song, that encompasses guitars, sitars, and has a nice desert vibe to the whole thing. [*] Twisted Streets: Has the trip hop very upfront, it feels like the start of it could either be part of a stairway to heaven or a Tame Impala song. [*] Terminal March: I got a weakness for industrial music, ever since (as a bet) I listened to Sasha Grey's industrial album, I've got this itch to scratch, and this song definitely scratches it. [*] Percy's Escape: Interesting rhythm this one takes, as it is aggressive, and the violins that encompass the background and foreground run at different tunes. [*] Faith of Jevel: A more somber song for the soundtrack to this point, a lot more electric sounds accompany this song, though the guitar is never lost. [*] Mine, Windbag, Mine: This one follows up from Percy's Escape, just heavy beating, sounds like mining, which is great. The sliding steel they used to make it, just perfect. [*] Slinger's Song: Long range western shootouts, that's what this song is supposed to sound like, and that's what it exactly sounds like. [*] Build That Wall (Zia's Theme): This beautifully sad song is the hands down, best song in the soundtrack, and have at one point or another been my obsession. This song is composed so damn well. Give it a listen, don't take my advice. [*] Spike in a Rail: A harmonica joins the set for this song, same industrial feel nothing outstanding, but that's being compared to the previous song at this point. [*] What's Left Undone: Build That Wall (Zia's Theme) is hummed by the voice actor for Ruckus (Logan Cunningham again) although out of tune, this gives the song a different vibe, a sad, tired and defeated feel. [*] Brusher Patrol: A more hip hop version of the trip hop sound track, feels more like a carnival with guns. With a touch of grunge. [*] The Mancer's Dilemma: This song is lead primarily by a harp, which I believe is a first at this point, and followed by several flutes, it's upbeat and a nice windup. [*] Mother, I'm Here (Zulf's Theme): A terribly sad song with great love and detail into the lyrics. [*] Pale Watchers: A suspenseful song piano lead, [*] The Bottom Feeders: A lot more psychedelic rock than anything with this one. Feels like, if it were less electronic and more physical, the song could fit on the Flying Microtonal Banana album. [*] From Wharf to Wilds: A very nice upbeat song featuring a trumpet as a prominent instrument. [*] Setting Sail, Coming: Another song in the album with lyrics, which I believe are sung by the previous 2 singers for Build That Wall (Zia's Theme) and Mother, I'm Here (Zulf's Theme) and encompasses parts from both songs. [*] The Pantheon (Ain't Gonna Catch You): This song is fully sung by Logan Cunningham, this invokes some very nice old Johnny Cash vibes. I love it. [/olist] All in all, I'd give this a solid 8 out of 10, if every song was as much of a hit as Build That Wall, it'd be a 10.

This is my favorite soundtrack ever. All the tracks are beautiful, especially “Setting Sail, Coming Home (End Theme)”. Highly recommended, it’s worth every cent. This game came out a while ago, and I still listen to this OST.

Bastion: Original Soundtrack is, obviously enough, the soundtrack to Bastion. Ownership of the game is necessary to purchase the soundtrack, and quite frankly, this is one of the soundtracks worth doing so. Bastion's soundtrack is composed of a sort of electronic-acoustic-western, completely unlike anything else I've ever heard. The music is great in-game and stands out on its own, as well. The soundtrack can be sampled on Supergiant's Bandcamp page here: http://supergiantgames.bandcamp.com/album/bastion-original-soundtrack I cannot recommend this soundtrack highly enough.

You can right-click on a game in your Steam Library, select Properties>Local Files and click Browse Local Files to access that game's directory. While Supergiant Games would master the idea of combining music and narrative with Transistor, Bastion's soundtrack in general is good listening, in-game and out. Some tracks stand out more than others, but none of them are bad either, with a lot of the music being a mix of Western/old country and techno. (Light techno, not trance-inducing rave techno.) "In Case of Trouble", "Slinger's Song" and "Spike on a Rail" in particular are some of the best tracks. Even if you don't get bonus material like with Transistor's OST, I'd say this is still worth a purchase if you liked Bastion's music.
