Hardly anyone plays these. In the two weeks I've played the game, I found one match of Furious, that's it. I will update this review if I do at some point, but I doubt I'll keep playing this. I did not find anyone playing the Survivor mode, much less these two maps, and, like anything else SP in this, Survivor by yourself gets old fast. Furious is fine. The 6 that come with the game are as good. Not worth spending extra on, considering the only way to play it is for others playing to have also bought it. Tempest has a decent atmosphere, using the weather FX. Monument is ok. The MP of the game itself isn't dead, though you can't always find more than one server with anyone else on it.

Out of the two AvP map packs the Bug hunt one is the better of the two. The Tempest map whilst small is a great survivor map that's a nod to the raining sequence outside the complex in the Aliens movie. It would still be worth playing MP if the hacker/cheaters were not present.

Decent MP maps that should just be included as part of the base game. The Bughunt maps are nicely designed for coop, but MP is pretty much dead now
Aliens vs Predator™ Bughunt Map Pack
The same situation as with the other DLC. We get a few nicely designed maps, but since multiplayer lobbies are not very populated, there is no guarantee you will even be able to play on those maps. Unless you have a group of friends that is.

I can't recommend, because online is basically dead and there's little reason to venture into it. I do advise picking it up if you're interested though, because why not have the full game if you're going to ever play online. That being said, wait for a seasonal sale to pick it up for a couple of bucks - >$7 for map packs for a dead game is stupid expensive.

This is much the same as the other map pack available for AvP2010 and has much the same pros and cons. High quality maps that add new visuals and game play but for a game that didn't have much to offer to begin with, at a price point that doesn't make sense for a simple map pack and you won't get to experience most of what this DLC has to offer unless you find other people who also own it and want to play. An old game with a dead multiplayer scene makes a primarily MP map pack a poor purchase.

You can't really recommend multiplayer maps for a game with such a small online community as of 2020.

The Survivor map - Tempest makes you feel like a real Colonial Marine fending off waves of Xenomorphs just like the 1986 Aliens movie! One of the best experience any fan of first-person shooters could ever ask for!!

If you play and enjoy multiplayer then maps are worth buying. Also contains more survival maps. If you play single player only then buying this will prove to world that you burn bank notes when cold.

People do in fact play this game. There are dedicated interenet servers still running (Multiplayer -> Browse -> Search for Dedicated (Internet) rather than Player Hosted), plus if you and your buddies get it with the map packs (I got the $6 75% off sale this week) you can play survivor and fend off aliens like a real colonial marine. Pretty great game if you want a new AVP experience.
