Ummm... I guess the graphics are pretty nice, so it has that as a positive. The story is so generic and unimaginative I actually started not caring after the first 10 minutes. "The dead have risen" and then you fight a bunch of skeletons that are armed with swords and shields...yeah it's one of those games. Animations are extremely basic and combat is abysmal - the lack of decent animations really doesn't help this one out. Combat is hack and slash like minecraft with no real hit reactions. I feel like I'm hitting a mannequin. Then, after EXACTLY 3 hits, these skeletons randomly twirl in place and fall to the floor for no reason whatsoever other than to throw in some animations to make it seem like it's "combat"... Not to mention there isn't any death animation when you die - you just stand in place while the screen dims and a randomly generated sentence comes up to tell you "how" you died: "Your corpse was used as a ritual", "Eaten by crows", or "Your skull was used as a prop"... What?? Needless to say, I refunded after 30 minutes. I couldn't get myself to play any more of it

I bought this game because I thought it would be quite a fun experience. After I played a bit I watched gameplay footage of it and I only saw bad or very bad impressions. Then I started the game again and played until I reached a village outside the cave. I stole some things from an empty house went outside and was attacked by some guards(until then I hadn´t seen any bugs). I killed them and flew of in the distance, then I died of fall damage and reloaded. I quitted the game after reloading and opened it again 5 minutes ago, I was very disappointed to see all of my progress had been deleted. I think the game is in a very bad state at this moment and isn´t worth 20$ or €. It could be worth 5 or so but not more then 10 and what I read about the dev´s makes the game even worse.

Too early in EA, and gameplay is too rough at the moment, to recommend this. It's missing basic, basic options like the ability to turn sound and/or music down and/or off. No FOV slider at all and everything feels too big/close so it needs one. Magic system lacks sensible rules, races aren't fully implemented yet nor balanced at all. Dialogue is mediocre at best. Very odd design choices like using white noise from an TV that isn't getting a signal for a tune-in noise on a "magic ball" voice recorder item in the game. It just doesn't fit. Graphics that look "wet" in caves, everything looks shiny. Poor lighting quality. Extreme motion blur that you can kind-of turn off if you turn off other effects since there's no specific blur option in the menu. Controls are kind of clunky and an aiming reticle that doesn't properly indicate what you're aiming at - it's off enough that you have to aim left for range attacks to hit, and up and right to pick up objects. Basically the game's not ready to be in EA in my opinion thus I can not recommend it at this time, at any price. I only have it because of a sale, and I was so unimpressed that I'm seriously considering a refund.

I can't understand all the negative reviews on this game. It's an indie game and it looks and plays like Skyrim. The graphics are AMAZING. I have seen a lot of indie games with arty farty s.k. hand drawn graphics and 2d pixelated games that get a lot of good reviews. I hate those games. For once, an indie developer makes a real 3d game with the best graphics and you are all negative. Why is that? I need games to play while waiting for Elder Scrolls VI and this is a REALLY GOOD indie gem. It's in early access so there are bugs, but I'm fine with that. I highly recommend this game!!!

I asked for a refund. I havent been able to get out of the intro. First time I fell off the world when i came to the cave. Was no reset/restart option. Second time I clicked [E] on the guard opening a dialogue menu. I couldnt get out of it, it was stuck on my screen. Not only that, they misspelled so much in the dialogue, for a game that costs this amount, not OK. The NPCs just stand there, gesturing. Makes no sense. There dialogue is so bad it actually made me sad. There is no life. I had no chance seeing the open world because i cant get past the intro. I would not recommend anyone buying this until its complete. It prolly has potential. But these small errors take away the ingame feel. The characters looks horrible aswell.

Game hasn't received a update for a while, or a road map, has been de-listed on steam (no longer searchable). I think we all know whats going on here. Refund requested. Sorry dev's you can't just endlessly relist a product in attempt to get more funding and a clean slate, that's very anti-consumer and I'm sure if Gaben knew about this, he'd have your team banned!

Oh sh.t here we go again, or how to add your game to steam early access twice. So first of all i strongly recomend you to visit this page on steam (Greylaw Season 1). So as you can see they are the same. So far, what i can say about this "game" trough 3+ hours in? Lets summarise. Positive: 1) Game is cheap (in my country its about 5$) 2) Game has pretty good visual quallity 3) Seems like some magic is okay 4) Lockpicking seems good 5) You can spawn your own skelleton army (press "o" to spawn) Negative: 1) Game look like they just bought some assets and put it randomly in the game 2) Fight system doesn't work 3) GUI - all interfaces isn't usable (look like someone made it in 2 mins) 4) You aren't able to ajust sound or music volume (HAHAHAHA it is 2019 baby!!) 5) Enemy's/NPC's spawn in 50 meters or even less and you practicly can see it 6) Penguins everywhere (WHAAAT???) 7) You can run like a FLASH 8) Enemy can run like a FLASH 9) You have not enough time to solve puzzles 10) This game has no atmosphere at all 11) Gravity - WTF? You can jump like you are on moon surface 12) You can spawn million skeletons using "O" button ( They are ready to conquier the world!) 13) You opened you inventory = mute/unmute sound 14) And tons other thing that need to be reworked (not sure if it could be. it could be better to create new game IMHO) 15) Glitching animations ( HEY ANDROMEDA!!!) 16) Well 5$ not great not terrible....actually terrible. 1$ not more! Its not ready at all even for early access. Strongly not recomend to buy it.

"At the request of the publisher, Wytchsun: Elleros Origins is unlisted on the Steam store and will not appear in search." That says it all folks. These guys are shady as he11. They'll rename it, repackage it, and resell it until it starts getting good ratings. It was a good idea, but the implementation is criminal. Wish I had refunded while I still could

Game seems kinda okay, has potential to be something great if the devs are willing to put the work in, but there's definitely a long way to go. Combat doesn't have any real weight to the hits, the UI gets pretty irritating quickly. The lore seems interesting at the very least, and the idea of character's corruption levels increasing as they interact with more otherworldly and dark objects is definitely something that seems interesting. I just hope the dev's don't just drop this after 6 months like so many other games in early access : ) ) ) ) ) ) But please, for the love of God change the sound for whenever you interact with the Sound Crystals, it's so jarring and breaks any sense of immersion.

First I need to address the elephant in the room: This is the second time in 4 months these devs have released this game into early access, the first one is still up for sale here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/989050/Greylaw_Season_1/ and is cheaper than on this store page. People who bought the original have to buy this version now if they want to keep receiving updates after the dev lied about giving them keys for this version. ***Now removed from steam at the developers request *** You can see the original store page by googling Steam Greylaw On the forums of the original store page you can clearly read the dev talking about creating a new page to help get rid of the negative reviews and mixed rating. - On creating a second store page for the same game - "our view: the game got all its reviews in the first week of launch pretty much. Every issue from then is now fixed, and it was our first experience with early access. Or releasing a game on steam. And people don't seem to change reviews once they're made, even if the game changes. Its eye opening" "Every issue from then is now fixed" - This is completely false! all of the original bugs from the original release still exist, most of which have existed since the day of original release back in February, such as players falling through the world upon loading a save game or entering a building and loading save games not working properly as it often wipes your inventory. All enemies and loot also reset. Literally the only change from the original version is the new starting FMV that incorporates the new game name. The devs have said they are also trying to get the original permanently removed from the store, but as soon as it is this new store page becomes a breach of steams rules, as they clearly state they will not allow a game that is closed/removed in early access to be re-released on Steam. Once Steam notice what is going on here I wouldn't be surprised if both games were removed by Steam for good. *** Seems like steam are fine with developers re-releasing their games multiple times into early access and using shady tactics like replacing the original games dev team name with a fake on etc *** The dev is claiming he wanted a new game name so made a new store page, but after choosing a similar name for the new store page (Wytchsun: Elleros Origins), he went and changed the game name on the original store page anyway (from Elleros Origins: Season 1 to Greylaw: Season 1) to hide it from search results, as he himself has stated in the forums. This clearly shows that if all the dev wanted was a new name there was never a need to make a new page. He also decided to change the developer name on the original store page to something random too, so if you click on the developer name on this store page you can't see that they have already released this game once before. Now he claims the first release wasn't actually a release and was a limited copy trial to attract investors etc. All of this was added to the original store page after he created this new page, months after the original released, plus Steam don't sell "limited copy releases" of any game, ever. Anyone can see the public change history of any games store page on Steam, just go and search for Greylaw and Wytchsun on steamdb and click on the histories tab in the bottom left, you can see what was changed and/or added to each page and when, like adding the lies about the original being a limited test to the original store page months after it was initially released. SidAlpha gets this information across quite well in his dirty devs video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M3nF5CBGghc&t=5s All in all the dev has tried to dodge his negative reviews and mixed rating by creating a new store page and then tried to backtrack, lie and cover his tracks, not realising all of the changes he's made to the original to try and pull the wool over peoples eyes is public knowledge and easily viewable. Now the game itself: You know if it wasn't for the dev's shady behaviour in trying to bury the original store page and making a new one I would be on the fence about recommending this or not. There is a sizeable world with half decent graphics, looks like there could be a good few hours of gameplay to be had. There is still A LOT of work to be done for it to be an enjoyable experience however, the sound design is awful, from the message globe things to almost silent wolves attacking you from behind. The AI is very basic and doesn't provide any kind of fun engagement, combat is just as bad with attacks going straight through enemies without damage, attacks feeling weightless etc, the spells looked quite good, however they seem overly cumbersome to set up. Talking to people/things can end up leaving the dialogue on the screen and allowing to walk away, only way to get rid of the dialogue is to walk back to the npc and talk to them again, you can even accidentally attack the people you try and talk to as combat doesn't always get properly disabled. Lockpicking made my gamepad vibrate even though the gamepad doesn't work at all for the game. Starting the game loads SteamVR but it doesn't have VR capabilities at all. It needs serious optimisation as even with an 8core i7 and a 2080ti there was frequent major stuttering and pop in. It is literally the exact same game as the original release with nothing more than a new FMV at the start to incorporate the name change, all the same bugs from when it was first released back in February etc all still exist, next to nothing has been done on this since February. Overall its basically a poor Skyrim clone that needs a lot of work to make it fun, and i'm not sure a 2 man team can come close to pulling off what they describe on the store page. A bit too pricey for the quality at the moment, and the devs shenanigans with multiple store pages, changing names to hide from search results and this being this games second release I would have to say this is a hard no.
