Such a great game. Good story and just the right difficulty.
⋆⁺₊❅ There's two things I especially enjoy in games and those are creative puzzles & great storytelling -- this game excels in both aspects. ❅₊⁺⋆

Multidimensional nuts to crack and lots of places to explore, yet the found items gave a clue after another and guided me to the right path with ease~ I did expect a few more puzzles before the ending, but it was so cinematic that I couldn't possibly have had the vision to solve anything through my tears. Not sure if the price is right for a game I (personally) would play only once, but it was a delightful playtime to say the least! ⋆⁺₊❅⋆ ⁺₊❆⋆⋆⁺₊❅⋆ ⁺₊❆⋆⋆⁺₊❅⋆ ⁺₊❆⋆⋆⁺₊❅⋆ ⁺₊❆⋆⋆⁺₊❅⋆ ⁺₊❆⋆⋆⁺₊❅⋆ ⁺₊❆⋆⋆⁺₊❅⋆ ⁺₊❆⋆

The gameplay is just too mediocre to recommend it. Lovely concept, but just not fun to actually play.

Röki is a fairy tale come to life, but not the sugar-coated kind. It’s the kind that feels ancient and a little eerie, the kind whispered around a fire on a cold winter’s night. It’s a story about loss, family, and the courage to face the unknown, wrapped in a world of Scandinavian folklore. If you love narrative adventures, folklore-inspired worlds, and stories that linger in your heart, Röki is a must-play. It’s a game about bravery, healing, and the magic hidden in the darkest places. And, above all, it’s a reminder that even the smallest light can shine through the coldest night. P.S. I love dad

This game has a pretty nice story. (Especially if you get it at 90% off like I did :) However, this game has a tonne of backtracking, and painfully slow animations. In the beginning where everything's basically a linear tutorial, this isn't so bad, but once you get into the second chapter of the game, it really starts to drag. Steam says I beat the game in 9 hours, the story and puzzles feel like I should have only played 3, and the slowness made it feel like 24! Buyer beware! XD

I adore this game! I was drawn to it because of the beautiful art style and the story. the story is even better when you play! the world is interesting and the puzzles are a good mix of difficulty. it's done in a very satisfying way, you can carry an item around for quite a while and later in the story you suddenly realise the use for the item and it all clicks and drives the story forwards! so satisfying. no complaints about any mechanics or anything either other than that I wish I could use a playstation controller, not just an xbox one! 10/10 game.

I was not sure about this game at first but very soon it got me hooked. Though there was certain amount of backtracking and sometimes it made the game feel a bit too repetitive, the story really made me want to continue on and finish the entire game in just a few days. It was a lovely tale, really, and I even shed a tear or two near the end of the game. Oh, and the Nordic mythology theme of this game was a great plus for me personally. Loved the trolls and the "tomte" and all that. I am a Finn so much of that lore is familiar to me as well from childhood stories. As for the puzzles in this game, they were sometimes a bit challenging (at least for me, I admit I am not the best at solving puzzles) but I think I only had to look for help online once or twice and eventually managed to solve everything else myself. And it was really rewarding for me being able to do so! My only real problem with this game is really just the fact that you can't manually save the game yourself and the game only has few of the latest autosaves available to load - and that after a certain point you can't go back to where you were. And this of course means if you forgot to do something (like finding stuff for your journal or doing stuff that would get you a Steam achievement), well... too bad. I am not a completionist myself so it didn't bother me too much, but it is a thing in this game that I think people should be aware of, especially if you are someone who likes to collect all the possible Steam achievements. Still, for an indie title this was such a delightful little game to play and if you like mythology, adventure, puzzle solving and a somewhat sad but also heartwarming story, then I say you should give this one a go. Especially if you can get this game on sale like I did.

I've played through this a few times now and have enjoyed it each time. The required backtracking is handled really well and there is only one portion of the game where it gets annoying BUT that's also because I fail to pay enough attention each time I've done it. The story is solid and the world is fun to run around in as/with the characters. The soundtrack is also beautiful

It's decent. Some good puzzles, not much moon logic, but because of the way camera angles work you will have to occasionally do some "pixel hunting". The story was not bad, but I wasn't particularly drawn to it. Having to watch the protagonist slowly spider crawl up and down walls over and over was a drag Word to the wise: There's a sprint button! I didn't figure this out until the final act
