Warning, anti-consumer monetization practices! I bought the Nürburgring Pack during the latest sale and now they are releasing an update for the track, but instead of updating it for everyone who purchased the DLC, they release it as a new DLC worth €7.99. There is absolutely no excuse for this behavior and instead of buying the new DLC, I'll never buy anything from Reiza again, selling the same track twice for the same game is just textbook anti-consumer business and something I've never seen in the genre.

Heard really good things about this game, thought it would be a breath of fresh air from Assetto Corsa but nope not at all. Base game is a waste of money if you don't spend $200 for all the dlc this game offers, base game feels bare and empty with a bad track and car selection on-top of that. No Moza support which is absolutely lovely (kidding) but, when you get it working the driving experience isn't even all that. It's not horrible but nothing like AC or ACC, this game actually teaches you bad habits due to the physics. Game is okay looking, don't understand the hype. Glad i paid like $4 for this game, was looking so forward to buying car and track packs when checking this game out until i loaded it up and played it, ended up downloading 200 mods for AC instead bc way more fun, disappointing. Would look at other options for sims.

I like AMS2. Better ForceFeedback than LMU, sharper more prominent understeer/oversteer force allow for more intuitive gaming less based on 3D plane rotation.

An ok game or should I say, good game, but spoiled by increasingly terrible monetization practices. If you want to have the whole game, you better prepare your pockets because you will need some serious extra to keep up to what is new. Their new monetization low is trying to re-sell Nurburgring pack rebranding it as "2025", not even blushing or giving a discount to the suckers who bought the original pack under season pass or standalone. Again, they are already adept to the practice of selling the infamous "season passes" where you give them money now for them to deliver content for you way later. And on top of that, there is now this nonsense of re-selling the same thing you believed to have bought with your passes. Todd Howard style. "It just works", apparently. Hell is the limit for this kind of practice. You give an existing track or piece of content a few fresh licks and resell it as brand new, and whoever bought it previously feel like an idiot. "Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me." Not gonna happen.

As a sim racing fan i feel a bit ashamed that i have overlooked this title for so long, After picking it up in the recent summer sale, along with all the dlc just a few hours later as i was so impressed with it, it`s a real love letter to racing heritage, the only regret have is that i never pick this up years ago. do yourselves a favour just buy it, so much content even in the base game, and some of the best AI`s out there.

I upgraded to a Moza R12 base and it works super.! But on LeMans it doesnt work! So I got AB2 and I love It! I compare it to ACC, This sim is very detailed and a sleeper with lots of tracks and cars! Awesome Sim!

Just buy it, you won’t regret it. Every DLC is worth it. The only ones that didn’t interest me were the Formula packs and the Historic packs. I’m also waiting for the Nürburgring 2025 sale, it’s their latest DLC along with Endurance Part 3, which I already got. Wait for a promotion; I bought the base game for $5, but ended up spending $95 on DLCs and I don’t regret it. The game uses the Project CARS 2 engine, which in my opinion is one of the best for single-player sims and the game that got me into racing on the ps4 on controller. Automobilista 2 is one of the best racing games right now. The team is very active in twitter with lots of updates and a game with a team like that can turn a game into a masterpiece. My setup: MOZA R12 V2 + MOZA CS V2P + MOZA HBP + SIMSONN Pedals Pro X + Thrustmaster TH8A.

I'm an old timer, and pretty much done the lot. iRacing, Assetto blah blah... Picked this up on offer as I wait for EVO to develop into an actual enjoyable experience and wow, very impressed. So much so i've just purchased all of the DLC too.
Project Cars 2 on Steroids
.... but good steroids, is there one? idk what im trying to say. It's like a great evolution of Project Cars 2 (in terms of the driving physics), it's realistic, the car feel planted, consistent, predictable, unlike the very twitchy rear-end physics of PCARS 2, racing in the rain against AI is also not infuriating here as there's a separate difficulty scaler for the AI in wet race. Tuning plays a big role in squeezing your car performance "but oh man.. i dont know sht about tuning cars, whats camber? whats anti roll bars? whats toe? isn't that fingie on ur foot?" DON'T FRET! THERE'S A TUNING DOWNLOAD SYSTEM:D yes, you can go to time trial and download dem sexy setups those aliens on the top of the leaderboard utilize, and apply them to your car. Content wise, it's still already MASSIVE, tracks? the classics such as monza, spa, nurburgring, spielberg, monaco, barcelona, indianapolis, imola, interlagos, jerez, suzuka, le mans, silverstone, daytona and MANY MORE to list is all here, with many having their historical layout available for dem old school car race roleplay. Don't forget it also have karting track, and many brazilian track that you might've not heard of that's legit a fun addition. cars? look, it may not have COMPLETE car list per discipline, but my god you still have a lifetime worth here, from the classic F1 (think the era of Fangio, Senna, Schumacher etc) all the way to the modern one (and you can have realistic livery for almost EVERY SINGLE ERA with very easy to install mods). Is it 1:1 realistic recreation of the grid? no, but what other modern simracing game give you the chance to experience these cars out of the box? great sounding, great physics, without the need of a mod like Assetto? It also have le mans prototypes (car like Cadillac V-Series.R), GT1, GTE, GT3, GT4, even Rallycross! it's a playground. how is it on controllers? OH BUD DO I HAVE GOOD NEWS FOR YOU! you can definitely have a competitive pace with a controller in this game, it's a 1000% better than it is on PCARS 2, will take a while before you learn to not spin out when playing without stability control if this is your first dip on sim-racing games with controllers, especially on classic cars. But go ahead on a practice run, try to drive a lap or two, slowly, learn to judge braking point, apply the slow-in fast-out rule, ease those trigger finger and joythumbs, car pedals and brake aren't meant to be stomped on 0-100% in quick fashion, slow is smooth and smooth is fast. Once you've learned to drive a car or two with stability control off, you'll have competitive pace, trust. how's the AI? I currently play with the controller and am playing with 95 AI diff with High aggressiveness. They provide a decent challenge! fighting for positions, switching back n forth between positions on corners, its fun! my rule of thumb is, if for example your baseline AI difficulty is 95, in a track with lots of straight? turn that diff down a bit. in a track with lots of corners? turn that diff up. And if you feel like "oh man I can't get competitive pace and I still need to use full assist (which considerably make your car slower), I'm always at the back of the pack its infuriating". Brother? just turn that diff down, no shame in it, it's a game, you're supposed to have fun and you can play the way you want to, no one'll judge you in an offline lobby. careers? yep here's the unfortunate part, currently the lack of built-in career mode for a mainly single player guy like me is a pretty considerable downside, though fortunately the developer said they're working on it, even promoted it in the main menu of the game and the webpage of the game saying that :
"The endgame for Automobilista 2 is the most comprehensive and true-to-life career mode ever designed for a racing game, connecting the game´s incredibly vast and ever-growing ensemble of Cars and Tracks into a cohesive journey accross several decades of motorsports".
Then again, most sim-racing game these days don't really offer good career mode either, Assetto Corsa Competizione? very underwhelming. rFactor, classic Assetto, iRacing? not really their forte either. Dirt Rally 2? checklist based career like you'll do on mobile games such as Real Racing 3 lmao. And also... checkout the overdrive forum, there's a great tabletop style career mod for you to indulge on as we wait for the official career mode, I've been using it, its great! So I'll be waiting on that promise, and when the day comes and they actually deliver a really comprehensive career mode? this will really be my go to for scratching the itch of Gran Turismo like game on PC. For now, a solid 9/10 maybe even a 9.5/10, or a 9.6/10, or a 9.7?, [strike]6.9?[/strike] Just drive man it's great fun!
