i've had a few character generator software, most of them i dished out money for, but this one? this one beats them all, the randomizer is such a nice feature, its so hard to live without and this software randomizes with ease, being able to use any size image is also amazing, despite my original thoughts assuming it only worked with pixel sprites (i've used 2000x2500) also, a suggestion for a quality of life! :0 :: while its bearable, i would *love* to be able to re-select a folder anywhere in the layer list, so that if i accidently pick a folder out of my prefered order and only noticed it around the end of loading 27 folder layers, i would be able to change it without having to reset the entire order to correctly load the layers in the proper order overall? this program is a must have

Additionally, the absence of a straightforward method to remove added layers is perplexing. A convenient solution would be to incorporate a close button or a remove option next to each layer for quick and efficient adjustments. This intuitive feature would simplify the editing process and contribute to a more user-friendly interface. Furthermore, it appears that the program currently only supports human characters. Considering the diverse nature of RPG games, accommodating various character types is essential for versatility. If the program intends to be cost-effective, it should encompass a range of characters beyond just humans. Expecting users to create diverse characters manually defeats the purpose; it might be more efficient to use a standard drawing program in such cases. In summary, optimizing the program by preloading character parts, implementing an intuitive layer removal feature, and expanding character options beyond humans would greatly enhance its usability and appeal, especially for those involved in RPG game development.

So initially a bit confusing, but then I read the very simple and well explained directions and since then I have had a blast with this. A bit expensive in my opinion, but other than that, its been great.

This is a very versatile generator in that you're able to add any of your own art, apply pieces in as many layers as you like, and manipulate several aspects of each layer to your liking. I should also point out that while this generator can use your own art it comes jam packed with a plethora of resources already provided so you don't need any of your own artwork to get started. It also has a hue slider so it's perfect for my gilled neon candle baby minion army. 10/10

This app is really useful for generating and customizing 2D sprites. It's really easy to use: make a new file, input your pixel and frame dimensions, add a layer, load your sprite, customize its color and position. Add another layer. Or another. And maybe another. Once you like what you have, save it to its own file. BAM, you have a new sprite. Easy. I like it. It should be really easy to make a lot of new, customized sprites pretty quickly with this app. Kudos to the developer.

As an indie game developer and character artist, it's hard to find anything like this tool. The ability to layer your artwork and character sprites to quickly generate unique variations from just a handful of different parts is a huge time saver as opposed to what you'd need to do in most imaging editing programs. It works exactly as described, is fast, highly customizable and has all the extra adjustment functions you'd need to edit each layer such as color, tint, brightness, etc. It's a great time saver. It really is an invaluable tool when having to produce large quantities of art/sprite variations in an fraction of the time as opposed to any of the alternatives.

The name is deceiving. It says Universal Character Generator. There are NO warning that you must import your own generator image assets. It does not even mention that it does not have any image assets. I thought the tall images displayed were part of the generator. For what it does, it should be FREE or $0.99. I am demanding a REFUND! I have purchased three programs similar to yours, and they all came with basic assets. Those tilesets look very close to Degica's. When your product is worth over $1, I'll let you know. Universal Character Generator...a generator program that does not have generator parts included. You did an awesome marketing ploy. 5/24/2019: Now, a last line shows up stating that there are no images....I guess enough complaints and refund requests have happened. I guess those that got it for FREE are very content with it.
