The game plays like a mix of a visual novel and a tabletop game. You have to visit places in a one dimensional town and manage money, health and inventory.
Everything takes place in a steampunk world that works well and the writing is very correct.
The game isn't great but not so bad either, it could have been very pleasant with some improvements on the gameplay elements and graphics. It would really need better mini-games than "click on the Os and avoid the Xs".
Another problem is that beside the intro, the little vignette graphics are limited to locations in the town and almost never show characters.
The game can seem hard at first but if you stick to it nd undrstand the mechanisms, it becomes a lot easier.
The gameplay suffers a bit from bad balancing, but it's not really a big problem, you mostly play just for the story, which means cheesing the game is actually a good thing.
But, once you get all the inventory upgrades there is no reall challenge anymore and the endgame will be very linear. It's missing a more involving challenge to the second half of the game because you will probably zoom between locations just reading the last leg of the story.
While playing I have encountered several optional story branches that develop interestingly provided that you choose the right actions. Although the last part of the story feels a bit rushed and the writing quality takes a little drop, but it's still interesting.
Don't play this game if you don't like to read.
It would be nice if the dev could add more illustrations, more interesting minigames, and a challenging endgame. At the moment I would advise to wait for a sale to purchase it.
And hoping that the next games will improve nicely on this one.

Small and nice game for few hours. For now it doesn't have much replayability, especially if you took your time to upgrade your gear and go through minor encounters, but it's worth its price.

More frustrating than fun. The minigames are chaotic, way too fast, and tediously repetitive. Constantly being robbed, blocked, and attacked is both boring and tiresome. I guess the story is interesting enough, but for a primarily text-based game, the quality of the writing is very poor -- an editor would be a great investment here.

Update > Nothing new. Dev abandonment. Game is short as heck. If you're bored and want a game ONLY worth $1, buy it. But it won't entertain you for that long. Otherwise, DO NOT BUY. Not a lot of content.
Update 1 Review > Better. But stillvery repetitive. Dev fixed the robbing issue constantly happening as well as improving the minigames. Try Your Luck Money game still fails me more than anything.
It's still work work work sleep get robbed work work shop sleep work work sleep buys an item work sleep work work, repeat with an occasional time of going to the Inventors area.
This is pretty much the game. Finding Mr. Cooper is not a bad start. However... unless there is another world i'm not aware about, then i practically finished the game. Not much to do. The way the dev edited some of his events only slightly made it better.
On the description page on the website, ghe Dev had posted "wide variety of situations" is not true. It's a few. Not a wide variety.

Release Review> Honestly, I prefer a rating system. It's fun but it gets so repetitive. Work, work, work, work, sleep, get robbed, work, get robbed, work, sleep, get robbed, goes to shop, gets robbed, buys an item, gets robbed from store, etc.
Speed Minigames are too fast. My mouse is maxed out and I can't keep up. I would have to say 8/10 times I failed it.
The "Try your luck", i have not won once. Keep in mind, I've been playing for 2 hours.
Please diverse random events. I just started it and it's too dang repetitive.
Will change my review once random events are more... entertaining...
