Terrible, cursor didn't work. Basically could not even play. Be prepared to get a refund.

Very artibrary story and events. Lots of tiny pieces of things to be found that are too well hidden.

Not a bad game per say, but heavily outdated. Like 90's outdated.

A really good and really hard HIO. I love the music and the overall gameplay of this game. Uts one of the first games I have ever played. The puzzles are ok, not really my type of puzzles, but the ambience and the style of the game is really nice. The cutscenes could be a bit longer due to not beeing able to read everything, but the story is not really hard to understand. I can highly recommend this game

You go and find things. Broken things. Broken tiny things... This may cause eye strain and force you to move closer to the screen.
After the first level you will find yourself dependent on that "Hint" button... Let's see.... 1000%. Then sometimes the hint system tells you to go out... Only to go elsewhere instead...
There are mini-games... Which you can skip if you are having trouble.
I really can't say if this is good or not... I didn't really finish it... I mean I can... But I really don't have a monocle to make my eyesight 100%.
Let's do this: DO YOU LOVE finding tiny pieces of broken things and then FINDING where to STICK them into? You found just the right game!!!!!!!!!
This review should be marked as orange green... For neutral... I am confused... Maybe I will edit as I finish it.

I've played 6 hours so far and am not done, yet. This is one tough little nut.
Magic Encyclopedia: Moon Light is one HOS after another with very brief cut scenes to further the story. The hidden objects are in shards (pieces), so even though it seems you only have 5 things to find, it adds up to a lot. Many are tiny bits so they are hard to find even with a magnifying glass. The HOS include interactive things. Also watch for dark holes & corners, the curser will change when you come across those. More bits are hidden there. You will have to leave scenes and go to other scenes for awhile and then come back. You will also uncover hidden brain-teaser, mini-games that will allow you to skip after a short time.
The protagonist travels the world because, like Nancy Drew, she is the only one who can help. She keeps discovering letters that send her to yet another location. The music will lull you to sleep.

The second hidden object game I ever played, so obviously I got this one partly for the nostalgia feels. It's still such a delight to play. With its gorgeously drawn scenes and simple, but unique play style that differs from most other hidden object games i.e. You find fragments of pictured items and use them once they're complete, while occasionally solving puzzles. Honestly, it's probably better than I remember...

This is a "fractured object" game (or FROG). It is beautifully done with hand drawn art work as a first consideration, then the hidden object components blended in with the art. The result is really breathtaking in today's world and I was entranced by the effect. (I dislike today's hidden object games with their junk piles of clip art.) Magic Encyclopedia Moonlight provided great fun, great finding, great puzzles and hours of fun for me. If you enjoy games like Hidden Folks or Hidden Through Time, or other games of patience, you may enjoy this game.
