Early days, but enjoying it thus far. Not as easy to get the gold medals as you might suspect.
Seems to be plenty of content and I like the fact that each level gives you a different limited tower set to work with. It also introduces some new and interesting mazing elements.
Price might be a bit high, but the jury's out on that one at the moment, given the apparent high content.

I own this?
Its ok I guess. I don't really like how you don't get access to an increasing range of towers and upgrades over the course of the game, and instead you have a specific line up of towers for each level which kinda dampens the experience when compared to other TD games. Also feels very bare bone for the visuals at least. If you REALLY like TD games maybe try it.

This game is really charming and has a lot of heart. The tower defense mechanics are well implemented and satisfying, and the little emoji characters are too cute. The game overall has a lot of polish and the clarity of the menus makes it easy to jump right into playing.

A very odd offering, and a I tried to give it a chance, but in the end balance issues among other things made he decide to give this one a negative review.
For starts, yes, emojis. The towers and the critters are all emojis. Cute, simplistic art, no animation though, they just slide along the path.
Some drop cash, and you have to click on it to collect it, but so far I have found to real pattern as to which ones drop cash and which don't. About one in four or five will drop ten, the bosses drop a bunch more.
Speaking of which, so far no sign that the game offers the players any control over the pathing.
The monsters show no real variety, having only hit points as a trait. No fliers, and they don't attack the towers. There are bosses, which appear as slightly larger emojis, and some towers target them first.
There is a variety of towers, but you don't get to pick which towers you use on each level, the game tells you which ones you have at hand.
They can be upgraded, for the most part, some don't. A lot of them simply level straight up three or four times, a few have a split in the path for you to choose from.
There are no strategic attacks or upgrades, and though you get a grade for the levels you beat based on how few units get thru, these don't seem to add up to anything either.
It doesn't devolve into a puzzle game masquerading as a tower defense game, I hate when that happens, but there is also very little room for creativity on the players part beyond where to lay what towers.
There does seem to be a lot of game though, I am about four hours, which is awhile, but I am not interested enough in finishing it.
The levels are really uneven, and unbalanced. Sometimes you win very easily, sometimes they roll over you without mercy, and there is no rhyme or reason as to when and why. You seem to be about to play any level without defeating a previous one, which is nice, but it really highlights just how unconnected everything is.
Without a story of any kind and no growth there is really nothing that makes me want to play any further. It is really an empty experience.

Truly just a brilliant game, filled with the best story possible and just characters that you can really relate to:
Amazing. No other words. A bold showing on the theory and practice of collective oligarchies. A consumerist masterpiece that shows the function of a capitalist world built off of democracy. In every moment the screen fills up with action, not only from the main character. It should win an Oscar for its screenplay. The amazing factors might be from the hyper-realistic animation Or the magnificent plot. The plot involves an emoji. Amazing plot right? Whoever thought this should be made deserves a medal. This is the best animated of the 21st century. Easily beats every movie in its path. This movie made me dedicated to my present job, being an emoji. The antagonist is a totalitarian ruler who lives for money and fame only. Any person caught making the wrong face gets eliminated. the climax is the fellow emojis coming in to save the day. after I watched it in the theater I felt something I had never felt before. Pure 100% joy. This film needs a follow-up ASAP. I have never in my life seen a better movie. The film's soundtrack consists of works better than the likes of Elton John, The Beatles, Queen, and any other group/solo artist(s). I felt like I was in the world of emojis with all the realistic details around the landscape. This movie grasps its audience and does not let go. The captivating story, the amazing music, the idea of the movie itself, the screenplay, landscape, random details, Easter eggs, all of those reasons mentioned are just SOME of why I love this movie. The trailer is fantastic, and I love the ending of the dance! A critic's DREAM. We follow the main character through land after land, app after app, including candy crush, Twitter, DropBox, Just Dance, message apps, Facebook, pirates bay, Spotify, and so much more! They included tutorials for the game, to try and get us to play the game! Some people say this is just a long ad, and they are right. As a consumerist, I don't mind this! This movie is so enjoyable it feels as if you are flying to your happy place! 10/10. Would watch it again 7 times! A modern classic that in the future will be looked at as nostalgia! If you see this at the bargain bin, PLEASE, buy it. This movie is too good to look over. It's insane how the director can make this good of a movie! We need a Sequal, live-action remake, musical, everything! Watch this masterpiece, and you will agree with make. thank GOD for this movie! My emotions went insane for this movie! I can not believe how they made a movie about emojis turn into the entertainment powerhouse! I love emojis I want to be an emoji so much, I love it! The emoji movie is cool I love it! please let my family go hahaha. The emoji movie has so many stunning backgrounds it's amazing! I love emoji movies so much! THE EMOJI MOVIE HAS SO MANY RELATABLE CHARACTERS I LOVE!

I thought this game was going to be another snarky, irony-filled, hipster "indie" throw away... but boy was I wrong. Emoji TD really got to the heart of emojis, something content creators rarely do well. It's as if the developer spent hours making the emoji faces to understand their inner states. And the gameplay! I havent played a tower defense game this good in a long time. Watch out for the cops ;). My favorite tower is "Happy Tongue", but the game is full of diverse towers, leaving you with hours of potential experimentation. Im about to gift this game to all my friends. You wont be disappointed XD

Great tower defense game. Addictive, fun, and challenging. You're given different emoji towers each level so good strategy is a must. Many levels also introduce new towers, new enemies, and/or new features so things stay fresh. I'm having a blast with this and I know I'll be playing many more hours. Recommended for all TD fans!
