The Garden Pub Reviews
You have just acquired an old pub in a small gnomish village, and now all you have to do is get it cleaned up and ready to serve the whole village! You barely have enough room to serve a handful of customers, so you must build up your reputation and gold in order to stock your pub and expand your dining area.

I Recommend this game, Its lots of fun
Its quite enjoyable and relaxing but its still needs more work & more content.
The dev's have started adding some much needed features
with more content and bug fixes on the way.
Basically you have to manage a pub feeding hungry rude little Gnomes
as they drink all your ale & leave dirty dishes all over the floor.
If you intend to have an abusive conversation with all your unruly patrons
then this is the game for you.

I feel like i have to wait for a couple minutes between customers. Which could be nice later in the game but early on it felt like if you rushed an order and got it done fast you had to wait too long for the next customer. Could be fun down the road but right now it just felt too empty. Would like the game to expand on what it has going for it.

I tried, this game is fun though. The little gnomes or whatever you call them scare me, but once I blink, their really cute. I keep expecting a horror pop up, maybe it's the color scheme of the game and lighting, I don't know. I didn't know how to make the food, so I just stood still for 5 minutes considering if I'm dumb and missed a tutorial or I am just dumb. It's really nice though, I recommend!!

It's a very cute simulation, the models are great. However, it is a little slow to begin with but it does eventually pick up the pace if you bear with it.
HOWEVER:
Some of the mechanics can be a little confusing (took me ages to find the tap to fill the soup cauldron)
There's not really much to do once you do work out what to do... It doesn't really advance from a basic cook and serve simple recipes, there is nothing to really save money to spend on - so your reward is just the activity, meaning you may get bored in a short amount of time.

Really love this game rn, its definitely in its early stages but it runs quite well and the gameplay is unique and very nice to just relax yet have something fun to do.
Pros:
Controls well, unlike a lot of PC cooking games controlled by mouse
Unique atmosphere
You can clean the dishes and reuse them
Restocking your supplies
Overall just a really nice game!
*Things to improve/suggestions*
1. First noticeable 'complaint' I have is that I found it very confusing for the first time, took me like 30mins to figure out how to buy food in bulk then individual, make food, clean dishes, where to cook what etc = suggestion> make a Tips pop up that you can disable for future
2. This game ought to have a main menu screen so you don't have to keep relauching the game if you want to go afk but dont want to lose rep ingame, but just in general too, should be able to back out to main menu
3. Would like more sound effects than just the customer bell
4. Not urgent but the gnomes could look a little better considering the textures of everything else in the game are significantly better and more detailed.
5. this is not a con just a suggestion, would really enjoy this game with a co-op feature one day, even just sandbox so you and your friends and just chill in the Inn and make some SOOP
All in all, for early access, Im really impressed with this game. I tend to have a habit of buying games that i think *look* good but then the gameplay sucks, this ain't one of those times! I'd recommend getting it on sale as i think full price may be a little steep considering the bugs at the moment but its def worth getting if you like semi casual games with something to do.

Not worth $10. It has a great concept but needs some work with execution. I got my reputation to 85 and unlocked 2 additional tables but never more than 2 people would come to the bar at the same time. There were times I was left walking around waiting for people to show up. I hired Patrick once to test him out and he continuously glitched. He would walk over to the object then get stuck picking it up. I love the setup and idea of the games but please make it more playable. Also $10 for a what seems to be unfinished game just isn't worth it.

Love this game. Extremely addictive, Audio would be nice, and I see that you guys are working on adding some, so I'll be looking forward to that update. Some customize decor options to make it more personalized would be good as well. Hands down best restaurant game I've come across.

Very cute, super chill little game. Garden Pub doesn't have a whole lot of content but if you need something to help you wind down after work this is a solid option. The odd vanishing dirty cup or ale mug are the only bugs I encountered, not a problem as you start each shift fresh with piles of both.
There are no achievements, but the end goal (should you aim for it) is unlocking all of the buried tables in this dilapidated pub while attracting more and more customers with your ever-increasing reputation. You have the option of serving patrons ale, meats, bread rolls, and a few soups you must make based on their orders. Should you make a mistake and serve them raw food expect projectile barfing, which is honestly pretty funny minus the reputation hit lol
Visually TGP looks great, with lots of rich woodwork inside the pub. Audio does the job, but there is no soundtrack - easily remedied via some medieval tavern playlists on Youtube but worth a mention. WASD plus the mouse and a couple other keys are your controls, nice and simple.
I paid around $5 for this near release, the current price of roughly $3.50 is fine for the included content. You're looking at between 6 and 10 hours to completion depending on how you play The Garden Pub. I'm honestly surprised another developer hasn't swiped and built upon this game idea, first-person tavern games are so limited right now.
