This is certainly a unique kind of story. Its a lot more down to earth and realistic than I was expecting as usually the characters in stories live in a near-idealistic world where any problems are solved with easily achievable solutions that even provide their own rewards through taught morals and such. Instead here, the characters are hit with reality, on multiple occasions, that people have to do things that are essentially miserable in order to create that light at the end of the tunnel. Nothing is born without blood and sweat. One thing I will say is that I didn't like how it was broken up into so many chapters, I would've liked to just keep reading without being forced to take a step back and click the "load chapter" button in order to get back into the thick of it.

This is a very good visual novel. It tells the story of two people from very different worlds who are trying to find a way to make money in Tokyo in the late 1980s. They start out fairly hostile towards one another, in no small part because of a language barrier. But over the course of a year you watch them become closer in spite of the challenges they are facing. It's a heartwarming story that is great for the Christmas season. There's no romance, but I think that's a good thing. The focus here is on friendship and family.

Thank goodness there is kind of a Happy end, otherwise I would have jumped right from the building because that story is soo sad, nearly broke my heart...also I hate Mr Jiang
