I'm really sorry, in a way, to leave a bad review. But only a very specific set of gamers can like this, so I would not recommend it for a normal player. This game is insanely hard. If you like a challenge, go ahead and pick this up. But the devs really made no sense in setting the difficulty levels. What is the point of having 3 different difficulties, if even the """easy""" one makes you ragequit in minutes? You like your game to be challenging? The medium and hard difficulties will be perfect for that. But then either don't create an "easy" mode at all, or make it really easier (like, slowed time or stuff). It's a pity, I really liked the concept and wanted to go through all the levels.

The game is very fun, although slightly short if you don't account for the amount of tries you'll need to beat the last few levels, recommended if you like platformers/memorization games

I 100% recommend this game. Its fun, challenging, lovely graphics and the story is good and amusing. Lots of comedy. Will you rage? Get mad? Annoyed? Wanna smash your head into a brick wall and forget about some of these rooms? Well of course but that's part of the fun with this game! Chaotic approved!

I can't recommend this game unless you like infuriatingly cheap hit boxes, levels that are super tiny ( and you have to repeat every level 3 times ) and lack of cloud saving. Wouldn't care so much about the last one, but I want to play this on m,y desktop with a larger monitor, and had to repeat the entire first level again. Only, now the hitboxes are clearly too large on the arrows, or too large on the guy you're controlling. I record everything I play, and I checked it out, I was nowhere near the arrows on more than a few occasions,. and died anyways. and every time you die, the level just starts over instantly, no prompt or button pressing. so if you arent ready, you're just gonna rack up even more deaths that aren't fair. on top of this, there's no freaking pause button. I hit pause, go to options to make a coffee, come back - and I've died 56 times. seriously. maybe your cup of tea is the type of game that makes you wanna punch a hole in the wall, not for me.

at least play music if your levels are going to be a boring repetitive guessing game limbo. don't disrespect me with silence in the actual levels and only music in the level select map

Truly the Dark Souls of bullet hell games. But in all seriousness it's a pretty good game. Each level poses a good challenge without unfair elements. The trap patterns interesting and show a nice level of variety. Figuring out the best way to position yourself to best survive each room becomes almost like a puzzle. The rhythm of each room can be almost musical at times, naturally allowing you to accurately predict when the next attack will be arriving. You automatically restart immediately after death, so you can quickly start your next attempt without needing waste time going through an unnecessary menu. Controls are responsive and precise. Mechanics do a great job of creating a solid foundation to build off of. This means that new projectile types are used to compliment those that have been previously established, rather than being used entirely independently. The game has a good learning curve, giving plenty of time to introduce concepts so the player has plenty of time to grow accustomed to them, but not overstaying their welcome. The game can be completed by doing each room on only the first difficulty, and well rewards the player for attempting the challenge. The two higher difficulties also do a great job of resembling the base patterns, while still mixing in interesting twists and challenges. The dialogue is light-hearted and entertaining, with each character having a well fleshed out personality. I find the ghost as a great example of this depth. Our protagonist has less than wholesome motives at times, and finds danger humorous due to his inexplicable immortality. Contrasting this, the villain is making clear efforts to appear evil, but is suggested to have a morally righteous conscience. As such, he is often thrown off by the "hero's" greed and reckless abandon, and drops his bad guy act in order to issue valid complaints. TL;DR: Definitely a game with great value that exceeds its price. Would personally recommend.

Killer Chambers is an extremely difficult game, but it has a lot to offer if you don't mind the challenge. It plays more like a bullet-hell platformer because the rooms don't have a lot of space, you must have decent reflexes if you planning on beating it (definitely not for casuals). Actually, if you are playing poorly, the game will punish you further, by forcing you to play even harder levels. It has a good sense of humor, including a story that is fun to follow. It's somewhat repetitive but there are some interesting twists on gameplay, such as consumable items and hats that give special powers. You can also do some optional challenges to gain gold and gems, they serve as the currency in the store. I only just passed the first boss, but I can already tell that it has a lot of content, especially at such a low price. Normally I try to beat games before I review them, but I might have to take a few breaks with this one, it can get a little frustrating.
Pros:
+ enjoyable story, nice sense of humor + optional challenges + consumable items, hats with powers + boss fights + many achievements
Cons:
- The only big problem I have is the way the bosses work. At least the first one had a pattern, but when you die it can start sooner, so it will screw up your timing completely. You can avoid that if you reset the level each time which makes it 10 times easier, so I think that boss should always start from the beginning. - There are some hard levels that you must play if you die a lot. Which is funny because the game gives you a middle finger, but it gets old. Maybe you should get some gold each time you beat it, just so you don't spend 20 minutes learning a pattern for something that is there to waste time. Overall Thoughts : 8/10 It's definitely a good game, I am just not 100% sure if I will have the patience or skill to get through it. I think it's a very creative way of making a hardcore platformer, aside from being ***** hard, I do like it. You getting a lot of content for a low price with this one (a lot of frustrating content in tiny rooms, but content nevertheless).
