i dont know who thought increasing price by 100%-300% would be a good marketing strategy but i gotta do what i can do by leaving a negative review to discourage people from spending money on these games

Everyone has their own past. So does Arisaka Shiori aka Sensei. Her background story is a bit unexpected but fits in well with the overall picture. Lucky kids to have such an caring teacher!

Best chapter so far. Not sure why it being dubbed as "side story" (the .5 thing). Most of it might feel like filler but there is something in here that feel like it will become crucial to the main plot in the future chapter

Its pretty short but man is it fantastic, hands down my favorite volume. Love Arisaka, she is to pure for this world. 10/10 fricken love Arisaka.

Arisaka's backstory was quite interesting &
left a few cliff-hangers at the very end to think about going into Vol.6, along with an answer for the main question that I had playing through this series (why was Arisaka-sensei here?)
. Considering it was a '0.5' episode, it wasn't too different in length compared to other volumes & had a mix of story and context that would be expected from this series. If Arisaka as a character doesn't interest you, then this volume could be skipped but the same could be said for all volumes. Still, more length & character detail would have boosted my grading of Vol.5.5. 7/10

Great story. Just a few things surpirsed me in this volume as one of them being "Bae" one of my native langauge words would be in this game. XD I still love the fact, the more i get into this series, the more i get to know about the different characters, and getting more connected to them. Surpise surprise i guess. :D Well i love the concept of trying something new from what could be hold of other languages imput to a anime game, this is the first time i've seen actually voice actors use other kind of languages to a game like this. Or tries something like this to remotely close. Whoever the singer is on the ending creditz, what a fricking voice. Goosebumps all through it.

Vol 5.5 is a welcome addition to the series, and its quality is up to par with its predecessors. The art and voice acting are excellent as usual, and I imagine if you're reading this, you've already played the first five episodes already and like what you've played.

Calling this volume a .5 is a bit insulting. It's true there is no big event pushing the plot forward but it does contain some backstory for a few characters. Mainly Arisaka but also for most of the other cast as well. Skipping this would be a poor decision if you've enjoyed the rest. Time wise it is about the same as the rest. About 3 hours for a fast reader (I fell asleep for about an hour). It does have much less CGs though then the normal volumes. Not worth $15 but the bundle is a good price. Use Magpie to upscale the game and it looks incredible.

Arisaka Sensei is just too pure and for that very reason she must be protected at all cost, and her back story was somewhat traumatic as well. Overall it was a nice insight story of Arisaka Sensei

Grisaia Dev Team: Can we please make a good installment in Phantom Trigger? Frontwing: *heavy sigh* Fine. You may make one good volume of Phantom Trigger, but you're forbidden from making it as good as the original trilogy. This is the first installment in the current generation of Grisaia that hasn't left me bored out of my mind. In fact, it held my interest for the entire four hours it took to read it. Like the rest of the series, it does unfortunately fail to live up to the original trilogy, but in all other regards this volume drops pretty much everything that makes Phantom Trigger bad. The fanservice is minimal (relative to the first five volumes), the pacing is good, the art and music are gorgeous (as we've come to expect from Frontwing). I hope that this volume marks a shift in the series and we'll continue to see Phantom Trigger improve as it finds a more ideal identity than it was initially given.
I can't believe I actually have something good to say about Phantom Trigger.
