Just finished through the Akari story and I must say I am positvely surprised.
It is pretty short(3-4h) but this little time there's a lot of character development which really hooked me in.
It's less about romance and more about our characters growing up and becoming adults(as expected from coming of age novel)
Overall I would suggest buying it no matter what.

Well worth the money. The story was really good, I felt a bit bad about Masatsugu. You basically steal his GF, but he sure took it well. I'm still a bit confused on the no Ageha route. I'm surprised that Akari got a route before Ageha did.

Route staring Akari, the only heroine who didn't have her own story arc previusly :)
Quality-wise, I would say Akari route is average, almost everything around the soaring club has been explored already, so its hard to add anything new to the story and New Wings doesnt really attempt to do so.
But its great way to re-visit the characters you love and re-live some of the great moments of Konosora story.
I still hate Moenovel for censoring game and not doing very good job with the localization tho.

First of all MoeNovels localization sucks, but is not nearly as bad as the main game. It is mostly the removal of nicknames and lack of honorifics that are the worst offenders.
Other than that the DLC is great! Aoi & Akari makes a really cute couple, and i enjoyed seeing their relationship unfold. Bit short though with roughly 4 hours of content. But still worth it.

This DLC unlocked a route and it felt really fresh. The character development was done really well and if you own the main game, you definitely have to get this. It just adds flavour and more storyline. Definitely a must-buy.

I am very glad that we finally got Akari's route!
Seeing the earnest Akari acting all bashful and flustered is just too adorable.
I think that her route is the second best, right after Kanako's

This DLC restores Akari's route back into Flight Diary
Akari's pretty much my type, so the possibility of being able to date her makes this a must buy for me. The dlc is around 2-3 hrs in content. I fully RECOMMEND anyone to buy this though, the story is interesting and worth the $5. Definitely a buy 8/10

Pros:
Being able to date Akari is pretty much worth it to be honest, you also get to see her major roles in helping the main characters while revealing her backstory as well. Her character development is MASSIVE.

Cons:
There are more scenes including her backstory and development than actual love scenes which is subjective. We also play as Akari more than Aoi which can be less immersive for some players (Especially me). Romance seems forced in the story although that doesn't really concern because I like Akari that much.

Since this route is DLC I'll be tackling it separately from the [url=https://steamcommunity.com/id/xenomorph_0001/recommended/923810/] main review [/url].
This route is another one of middling quality, comparative to Kanako's route in more ways than one. Akari is a character that is mentioned in passing in the original story, and this route does an excellent job fleshing out her character, giving her the trappings of a secretly childish straight-laced student. If you are familiar with the original game think Amane's route with a bit less of the over the top "too stupid to live" aspects. The route itself is heavily dependent on playing the original If My Heart Had Wings for the story to get across, and seems more like a removed route from that game, than a disconnected route like the rest of those in the base Flight Diary.
Overall the route is cute, and adds another narrative layer to an already great story.
So, is this route worth picking up? Once again, just like the entirety of Flight Diary, if you liked the original game, this will not disappoint you. It seems a bit overpriced, this is 1/3 of Flight Diary's and the original games price, and offers only one route with no choices whereas the others offer far more variety. But if you're already enjoying the IMHHW story, this portion is worth picking up. Waiting for a 50% sale or a bundle deal with Flight Diary is also probably a good call for those who aren't early adopters.
