Several HOG scenes are messed up. The names of the items to locate are wrong and don't match the items in the scene. The story is simplistic. Instead of strong female protagonist, we have a giddy teen with princess fantasies of romance. And she doesn't understand electricity and has trouble turning on her laptop (from the game). And cobwebs in the chandelier means that the castle needs a woman to take care of it (also from the game). Seriously? I felt icky after the sexist portrayal of women as romance addled airheads who are only good for cleaning the home and looking after her man.

Short (~75min) and mildly entertaining old school HO game. However, the game just feels unfinished. Apart from the obvious lo-res 4:3 aspect ratio (which you know you were getting when you bought it), several translations in the HO scenes are completely wrong and one was even still in Russian (in the English version) leaving you to just randomly click stuff until you hit whatever you should. The hint function was also not working for about half of the game - so no help there.
A bit of proof-reading an a bit of coding and they could have kept this old game alive. Unfortunately as it is now, I cannot recommend it.

In my opinion, every developer (or publisher) of games like these knows that they're basically evergreens. This was released in 2013 on steam (and is probably older) and, graphics aside, it is still fun to play these days. However, as a dev/pub being fully aware of this, I cannot by the life of me understand why there is no voice over at least for the story parts. Seriously, this (the voice overs) could've been done by an intern and the game would be so much better.
Another point I have to criticise is the difficulty of the riddles and puzzles. Most of them are trivial and the others are only slightly more challenging because of a decision to artificially limit choices or link together parts of rotating stuff. But maybe that's just me :)
There is one puzzle, however, that is a bit a pain in the rear and if you decide to "get a hint" the game freezes. Sadly, I don't remember which one it was.
It seems the original game used another language (possibly Russian?) because in some of those "find something" pictures the stuff you have to find is not translated and uses different letters.
tl;dr:
All things aside, you'll have a fairly acceptable experience for a hidden object game. However, you might feel a sting here and there.

A pretty simple and small HIO. The story is ok and the overall gameplay a nit repetetive. Still fun for 1-2 hours. It has very few puzzles and there are 2 little translation errors in the HOS. I would rather recommend buying it on sale. I can recommend it

It has a lovely story to it, introduces a lot of characters, but after playing it a few times, still makes me smile. A boon if you like HOP's but with lots of places to search, so doesn't get dull.

I have loved this game ever since I saw playthroughs of it online. This game has:
-beautiful graphics
-atmospheric music
- a hint button, which is handy if you are stuck on puzzles
- an interesting storyline
- interesting and likable characters
I highly recommend it for anyone who likes point and click adventure games, hidden object games or puzzle solving games. :)

A very enjoyable, though short, HOG. A little light on the HOGs, but the story line was much more respectable than the title suggests. I was worried this would be a little too young for me, but overall, I really enjoyed it.

Okay, okay... This game doesn't have really good reviews, but I... I LIKED IT!
Screw the sometimes strange item names, the design of the castle/characters were pretty damn cool! The H.O.G scenes look fun and not overly clattered too. *Phew*.
There is no map too, but I didn't get lost! So happy!
Well... I was just going to... You know... Passively play this game... Then ended up beating it in one sitting, YES IT IS SHORT. BUT THE STORY! The going into paintings!!! YES! For some reason I liked that and poor everyone... Until the good ending... Still sucks though.
AND UH... Good. For me. Good, good. Me likey. Let's keep going. Thanks!!! :3 =) :9

Barely an hour of gameplay, a hint system that keeps breaking, a few crashes, and a story that, well....
excuses a violent killer because he "did it for love"
, which is pretty fucked up.
