It's an old version and they don't bother to update it on Steam.
The version here is 5.14, the recent is 6.96. But there's more. I've just bought it, the app asked for an update, and installed the recent version separate from Steam, without a license, asking me to buy it again. It's also installed their "NCH Software Suite" - their own launcher where you can buy their products.

The program itself isn't bad though. For a 7 times lesser price (not counting regional prices) than Finale, you get good music notation software in which you can even use VSTi instruments. The recent version of the top edition goes for sale on their website for $30 if you care.
