Not in its current state is it worth playing, as there isnt much to do but look at people die in realistic ways. The gore loses its effect after 20 minutes. The reviewers of this game hype up the violence, I bought this game because people online said it was PTSD simulator. It is indeed not a PTSD simulator, but I would not play this game if you're not a well adjusted individual.

This game has amazing gore and a horror aspect when playing it, when you play you kinda just feel watched (when your doing the story mode thing or any dark map) and it is really fun. Playing this while listening to music makes it even better while you heartlessly stab someone to death while they scream :D

We all want gore until it gets this good- If you are someone who has a strong stomach and can handle strong themes then good! Maybe this is you're new favorite game. However I was expecting something more like John Wick or HITMAN. Firstly the gore is crazy good in this game! Lets get that out of the way the devs really did something here, it was very nice to see this level of attention put in and if you have ever played a Resident Evil game in VR you can handle this as those are honestly a bit more violent. However Theme and Tone matter A LOT and the vibes are just not it for me man. This game actually managed to make me VERY scared and uncomfortable, it was triggering in a lot of ways. Firstly the tone: Right from the get go you are living in a dark basement, with the TV playing people screaming and babies crying, you smoke crack to heal, and you kill people. This is all fine if it wasn't so damn realistic. The main character feels a lot less like a hitman or bounty hunter (which I thought I was going into this) and much more like a mentally ill crackhead ready to commit a school sho*ting or mass murder. Second is theme: Most of the maps are in the forrest, these are more fine but it's when you get to the run down apartment or office building maps that made me uncomfortable. The maps are big and high quality while also being super realistic which was cool! However far to realistic for my tastes. I also didn't realize that "Runners" wasn't people who run at you with weapons no it was people RUNNING AWAY from you. So I walked into a room with 3 or so people and blew them all away before realizing they weren't even armed and were trying to escape the mass murder who is just reenacting a mass shooting. It isn't for me. Theme and tone matter a lot. The gore is crazy good and so are the physics! The whole time I was thinking I wish "Arizona Sunshine" or "Saints and Sinners" had this much gore or even "Blade and Sorcery" but those are zombies or realistic knight battles, I don't need to feel bad when I blow fractions of a zombies skull off or behead an enemy while I am roleplaying being the knight who saves the village from the vikings, but when it's a unarmed human running away from me it made me uncomfortable. This is a beta so I won't be too hard, but here are some tiny things that could really make the game pop! Weapon sliding like blade and sorcery or saints and sinners, should be an standard after those titles. Can't flip a knife around to hold upside down On quest putting the controllers to close to your face makes them just vanish so making the head buttons for lamp and night vision bigger for quest would be a huge help. Sectioned grabbing again like blade and sorcery or saints and sinners, being able to choke, grab by the head, ankles, ect is always a nice touch. Lastly better physics for the objects, like I tried to pick up a brick and it took too hands to get any movement with it and I couldn't hit with it to save my life. Again if you love gore and are ok with the dark tone and themes then you'd probably love this! I just can't personally think of anyone I know who'd love the school sho*ter vibes :/ Gore is great though and who knows maybe I will revisit it when the whole game comes out.

Brutal, weighty violence with good physics. Simple but satisfying gameplay loop with more to come. Enemies are the right color, and the only thing that would make this game even more awesome is confederate or trump flags hanging on the walls of the their forts :)

Game might be cool once a story comes along, as the ragdoll physics and npc reactions are definitely impressive and would fit great in a fully fleshed out game, but for now it's just a gory tech demo imo. Hard to justify $25 for what is essentially a murder simulator. A bit too disturbing for my taste
